I am not very good with words which is why I never write reviews but as 1 of my top reads of 2016 I had to with Gravity!!
A.B.Bloom has given us with Bronte and Nick 2 characters who you cant help but fall in love with and a story line that stays with you log after you've finished!
I cant recommend it enough!!!!! Am eagerly awaiting bk 2!!!!!!
-- SPOILERS --
2 plot twists at the end: +1 for the hidden evil twin sister (I thought they were linked but didn't jump to that conclusion), -1 for the step-father being in fact the grand villain of all times. This was so predictable and so out of tune with the story. So, the Stars have been watching Bronte since she was born, with all their powers and mightiness, but in 16 years they didn't know the hunter lived close to her? They didn't run background checks on her family? Great bodyguards then.
I didn't particularly enjoy the end, because it was somehow abrupt and eclipsing everything from the final confrontation. I missed a good action scene, and it left many unanswered questions: did they win? Is Lauren safe? What happened to Eleanor after this? Why is Nick gone? (Honestly, that bit doesn't make sense to me...) Why is the hunter calling Nick Phoenix again? Was he actually on the dark side from the beginning? What happened with Emma? Etc. Final one: Nick and Bronte clearly seemed fated but why is every one else saying otherwise?
I'm honestly reluctant to read the next book, because I'm afraid it's going to play out like a certain Vampire series and Connor is going to try to make his move on Bronte while Nick is away. I don't want to read unnecessary and forced drama.
I've not read a lot of paranormal books and I've only read 1 that really had me but I can honestly say THIS right here has just turned me because Holy hell! That was was one of the most amazingly written, nail biting reads I've ever experienced! I was left speechless at the end, which is very rare for me. This has quite literally blown me away!
I couldn't stop turning the pages on this little beauty. I devoured it in one sitting and my kindle didn't leave my hands. I was gripped from chapter one and all the way to the very last page. I felt the build up of the characters, their own personalities, their quirks, the tension building around them as the story progressed. I felt it all, right along with them. The story line was gripping. And I honestly didn't see the twist coming at the end!!
I'm currently sat here trying to write something to do it any form of justice and I can't begin to even form the words so I'll leave it on this:
If you read any of Anna's work it has to be this!
If you've never read a paranormal and your thinking of trying one it has to be this!
If your not sure what you want to read then let this be your purchase.
Even if this is not your normal criteria of book, please give this a chance.
You truly won't be disappointed!!
This is by far my favourite read by Anna yet and is definitely a keeper.
5 outstanding brightly coloured stars! I wish I could give it more, it truly deserves it.
P.S ladies Nick is mine (les
