I feel like I missed something. It seemed to just end so suddenly.

I struggled with it from the off. I never quite got the gist of what it was all about. Was it just about finding a replacement and the insider? Huh.

Then I'm disappointed. I wanted more of something, anything. I won't be continuing the series.

Terrific book about how Grim Reapers interact with all the above in the Afterlife. With Lana as the reluctant heroine. Great characters, great story, cannot wait to read the next one.

An enjoyable read. Wasn't sure what to expect at first but good characters and an interesting take on limbo and grim reapers. Reapers with jobs and lives delivering souls to the afterlife and the robes are for special occasions.

Well written, interesting and funny. A good all round read.

This book is quite original in its depiction of the afterlife and various religions, without leaning too heavily towards any single one.

I had high hopes for this idea, but I'm afraid it didn't really deliver for me. The story's not half as sacrilegious as the book likes to think, nor did I find it especially imaginative, nor at all funny. It was just a bit dull and ordinary, mostly concerned with shopping for frocks and going on dates, with the occasional fight with demons thrown in. I've read a million like it before.

I also found the attempt to compare it to Neil Gaiman and JK Rowling (as per the quotes used in the marketing) ridiculous - it bears no resemblance. Anyone picking this up thinking it's somehow akin to American Gods or Anansi Boys is in for a disappointment.
