About the Author

Kalayna Price is the "USA Today" bestselling author of the Alex Craft novels including "Grave Memory," "Grave Dance," and "Grave Witch." Ms. Price draws her ideas from the world around her, her studies into ancient mythologies, and her obsession with classic folklore. Her stories contain not only the mystical elements of fantasy but also a dash of romance, a bit of gritty horror, some humor, and a large serving of mystery. Kalayna is a member of SFWA and RWA and is an avid hula-hoop dancer who has been known to light her hoop on fire.

It was with much anticipation and a lot of impatience that I finally managed to get a copy of this book, and it was so worth the wait. Please don't give up on this series as Grave Visions proves to be just as good and just as worth the wait.

So, two days of sitting with this and digesting it I can draw the conclusions that this book was a down right awesome read, as per the standard of the series so far. The plot and characters are just as solid and likeable/enjoyable as the previous books. It was well written and flowed nicely on from the previous books so it didn't feel as if there had been a massive wait. My only complaint is that the gargoyle from the previous books (Fred) was strangely absent from this book. Other than that (and the long wait) I was glad to have read this book. It was up to the usual standard of the author and kept me gripped within it's pages. I genuinely struggled to put this book down.

Every now and then a series grabs you and won't let go and despite the fact that it's been a while since the last book, I had no trouble picking up the world or these wonderful characters and it was worth every second of the wait and the read. Poor Alex has such a complicated life and I still don't know what she's really going to do about it all, but whatever happens I'll be along for the ride.

Both Falin and Death appear and feature, however both still seem unattainable as real, ever after relationship material. Both are wonderfully complex and out of reach, however Alex herself is so fascinating that it doesn't seem to matter what her love life is up to as she holds your attention all the way. The story is as ever frightening and I never know what is going to happen next. The Winter Court features heavily and we see a slightly more damaged side to the Queen and Faerie itself, and despite the fact that Alex is fading we see her more in control of powers and self. I am hoping that in future books Alex will gain more ideas about herself and have a firmer idea of where she wants to be in terms of Faerie and her love life! Hugely enjoyable.

After waiting a lifetime - so it felt - for this book I was desperate to read it. Part of me loved it and part of me was annoyed. Lots of questions raised that were not answered, Alex seems to be dithering about things which does not gel with the kick ass chick at the beginning of the series. The Falin/Death set up needs resolving soon as to be brutally honest - getting a bit bored with it. I felt this installment was a "filler" book of the series setting up the next book. I will buy the next book, but hope there is a return to form of the earlier books

I really enjoyed this book even though it was a while in coming. Hopefully book 5 won't take as long to publish. Ryese is being a bad boy in this book and only Alex and Falin can stop him. A drug called Glitter is causing havoc and people are dying. Alex also finds out she is fading and needs a stronger tie to Faerie which only the Winter Queen can help her with. The story is the weakest of the 4 books in this series but it is still an enjoyable read. Recommended.

I've had this on pre-order for so long and dealt with the postponements (personal issues not Kalayna's fault) that when it finally downloaded I was so excited! It was full on at school so I left it will Easter and finished in in 2 days (and that was with trying to eke it out). Follows on nicely from the other books, fast paced story. Just hope it's not another 2 years till book 5 is out!

It's been a while since the last book and I had to re-read that first to remind myself what has happened in this series. The book is fine and pretty enjoyable, but it given how long between books, it wasn't outstanding. I didn't feel as though much moved on. I will hope that the story moves on a bit in the next book.

So. So long coming!! But well worth the wait! Not to sure about the bogeymen, and could have had more Death in it, but everything else was up to the usual parr!! Please please don't let it be that long await for the next one. Also think I should have reread book three before reading this one as it's been such a long time coming there was a few things I had forgotten about

As her heritage is now impacting on her very life, Alex has little choice but to negotiate with the Winter Queen for her own survival, and the survival of those that depend on her. As Alex has an investigation to undertake for the Queen and needs to spend time in Faerie; she therefore interacts far more with Falin than she does with Death in this book.

This author seems to easily create addictive, convoluted plots that twist and turn in unexpected ways. I’m still not enjoying the love triangle though. There are reasons why Alex shouldn’t be with either of the men in her life, but there’s been a clear winner for me from the start and I find myself annoyed when Alex flirts with Falin or feels any attraction to him. I don’t feel she’s being torn between two men, I feel that she’s being totally disloyal to Death. That aside, I do enjoy this series; the predicaments Alex finds herself in and her inventive plans to save the day are proving to be an addictive read.
