Aurelia discovers at an early age that she is a witch with the powers of a necromancer when she and a group of school friends gather at a graveyard to attempt to raise the dead.
Years later, she is busy trying to build herself a 'normal' life when fate throws her headfirst into the path of Daniel, a deadly Shadow Mage who gets his powers from absorbing the magical energy of witches.
As Aurelia attempts to thwart Daniel's plans, she starts to discover the world is a much crazier place than even she could imagine, and pretty soon that it is not just her life that is at stake.
Grave Danger starts at a frantic pace and never lets up for a second. Though the opening chapters felt a little bit choppy to me in the way the story jumps around, thankfully this didn't last for long and I soon found myself absorbed in what ended up being a highly enjoyable read, reminiscent in parts of the work of Kelly Armstrong.
A strong 3 1/2 / 5 - simply because at times this felt a bit too much of a quick and easy read for me, though the story and characters were strong.

5.0 out of 5 stars a great read loved it 2 Nov. 2016

This is a really good read . Aurelia is having a rough time of it lately . Ever since she raised a zombie when she was younger. She has denied her powers until that fateful day when a fellow townsfolk asks Aurelia to do a spell to bring back her husband. Then she ends up setting off a chain of events that will help her and also put her in danger all at the same time . She needs all the help she can get to figure out how to use her powers of a necromancer . With Sheriff Brody Clarke at her side will they figure out who is murdering people and will Aurelia figure out her powers and get the happy ending that they all deserve.

I loved the characters in this book Aurelia is such a sweet girl, who hasn't really had any good luck. She seems like such a sweet innocent girl who has these powers but has denied them . As you read you see her grow into the powerful necromancer and fall in love with her long time crush . She gets stronger and more confident as she grows into her powers . I loved her and her quirkiness , she could be your best friend or the girl next door.

Brody is such a sweet guy, he is the sheriff in town and has been in love with Aurelia since high school. All he wants to do is date and protect Aurelia but she is making it difficult for him . He is put through the ringer watching over her . He is strong and caring a big teddy bear . He would make for an excellent boyfriend to anyone . I loved how these two characters click and they are a very enjoyable to read .

This is an enjoyable fast read for me . The characters are quirky and fun, you love how they interact with each other . The author takes us on a fun filled ride that will have you giggling through out the book. The author paints such a fun picture when she writes , you get the whole picture in your mind . You will get sucked into the story and the pages turn themselves . The book flows well and its an easy read . So if you want a fun, fast, enjoyable read that will keep you reading until the wee hours of the morning . Check out Grave Danger by S.K Gregory

5.0 out of 5 stars A Homerun 20 Mar. 2017

What would you do if you discovered you were a witch? But wait, before you answer the question, what if you found out that your powers were mostly just good for raising the dead into zombies? In this very unusual tale of witchcraft, that’s just one of many challenges the main character must face. And trust me when I say, the challenges for this poor girl just keep on coming.

It was this unusual twist that really hooked me on the book. I’m glad it did. This book was completely unpredictable from beginning to end, always keeping me on the edge of my seat with one unexpected twist after another. That combined with the very real to life, seemingly living and breathing characters, this book was a home run.

I will definitely recommend it to my friends.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great witchy tale! 9 Sept. 2016

What a fun read! I throughly enjoyed this book. Poor Aurelia can't get a break! When she works with the local sheriff to help solve a murder, she also comes into some problems of her own. The characters are well written and the story quickly pulled me in. I highly recommend this one!
