Tim Bogenn was born in Grosse Pointe Michigan, moved to California's bay area in the early '90s where he started working at Sony Computer Entertainment of America (SCEA) just months before the launch of the first PlayStation. After three years with SCEA he began writing video game strategy guides for BradyGames which was later involved in a forced merger with Prima Games Publishing. Since 1998 he has written well over 100 strategy guides, the most popular being from the Grand Theft Auto series. Tim currently lives in Greenville, North Carolina where he and his wife Jennifer currently own and operate 7 House, a creative studio in the uptown Greenville's art district.

BradyGames is a publishing company in the United States operating as a DK imprint, which specializes in video game strategy guides, covering multiple video game platforms. It published their first strategy guide in November 1993 and has grown to publish roughly 90-100 guides per year. On June 1, 2015, BradyGames merged with Prima Games, and future strategy guides made by the publishing company will be published under the Prima Games label.

Don't rely on this for GTA Online as it only relates to the vanilla game.
Just as Danhhh or whatever he calls himself has alluded to I also tried to get this hardback guide book I pre ordered months ago lobbed in with the 500gb PS3 super slim/GTAV bundle I decided to take the plunge on a couple of weeks ago. Alas the CS agent who tried to sort it out for me managed to cancel both orders in the process on September 11. Anyway she was good as gold, even reinstating a £10 gift voucher I used in my original order, so I re-ordered both the console bundle and book but made the mistake of selecting the standard edition rather than the limited edition. Rang Amazon again and they cancelled the standard edition and did a new separate order for this limited edition, also waving the £5 European Mainland shipping fee in the process. The book was dispatched Monday night(16/09) and arrived here in Eisenstadt at 9am this morning(19/09) where I had to sign for it, so a tracked order to boot, absolutely top Class from Amazon so a massive massive thank you!
Right on to the console bundle, yes I have had major dramas with that and none more so than with some specific cretin in their call centre in Jamaica! That said a UK based Amazon manager called me yesterday, apologised for all the grief, credited my account with a nice gift voucher and assured me my PS3/GTAV bundle with the free promo 'The Last Of Us' game would be with me today and he was as good as his word. It shipped from Northampton 19:45 last night, arrived at Vienna airport 05:27 this morning and is out for delivery with UPS right now(Edit: just been delivered at 14:40), all this for the initial shipping charge of slightly over a fiver so yeah go on Danhhh you run off to Ebay and I'll stick with Amazon pal!
As for the book itself, seems to be spot on as Brady guides always are. The 'exclusive' lithograph is hardly anything special but does come with a handy black card GTAV branded sleeve/folder to store it in. Nice to see a full detailed guide of all the vehicles again and where weapons are but obviously until I get cracking on with the game I can not really give a balanced review on how accurate and useful all the content is. Watch this space and I'll get back to you all on that
Gripes:
- the size of the lithograph was not stated in the product description and I was expecting it to be bigger (but at the end of the day I can't complain since they didn't even need to include a lithograph in the first place)
- the pages (as mentioned in another review) are terribly thin, I guess this is because there are so many that they need to include, but I am somewhat concerned about the inevitability of this beautiful book damaging easily. In addition to the pages being less durable, they are also kind of creased as one would expect from magazine quality paper, which is a shame given the level of effort that has gone into the content and it's design.
- this isn't so much a gripe as a suggestion. If this were available to download as an ebook for ipad and as a PDF I would seriously consider paying more. It would be more convenient, despite its lovely aesthetics, than turning pages whilst playing missions. This could also make it more interactive
I thought it'd be a small book, A5 size, but when after having it in my hands I realized it was even better and better-looking on the A4 size.
For a book with so many contents and with all the extra things it came with, this price was awesome comparing with other stores. Never thought I'd get it for such a good price here.
The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the first and last set of pages appear to have been damaged by water. It has some small 'waves' on them, but nothing that special for a book of this size. Then it has also a problem on the initial pages where most of the images are blurred, sort of printed outside of the outlines.
In my opinion it's not worth contacting Amazon because of these small details. They don't worry me much.
