A reference book on Modern Hebrew morphology and syntax, this describes the language as it is really spoken and written in Israel today. The author pays particular attention to functional distinctions, giving equal weight to colloquial and formal usage.

As someone who speaks Hebrew pretty fluently, I am using this book to really understand the language and all of its rules. This book gives gives plenty of attention to the different levels of formality in speaking the language. It is helpful to understand the differences between the "street talk" and the formal writing and speaking. The book is clear and pays attention to every detail one can imagine about the Hebrew language.
The price is a little steep. However, for a specialty book like this, one can't expect it for any less.
As I go through this book, I will hopefully update and add to this review.
