With this little book and Strunk and White, I feel grammatically safe no matter what I write. The author has great fun with her subject, and obviously enjoys it and her enjoyment is infectious. I read it for the fun of it--NO, I AM NOT MENTALLY ILL--this is simply a great little book.

I bought this book on grammar because I was helping an adult friend develop her use of the language and wanted to be sure my memory was correct on verbs and adverbs. The book does a decent job regarding putting sentences together correctly and is easy enough to understand, I'm entertaining the idea I can turn it over to my friend and let her learn on her own.
