Lots of extra stuff on the CD and the usual superb Paul Simon quality of recording.
My other half has stolen it to listen to in his car but I have already copied a version onto my laptop so can still listen myself.
mine has only 14 tracks and the last track 15 is all chat about the making of the music
on this CD
the reason for buying this nice CD was I have it on cassette tape and it will not last forever
and yes it's getting old like me...
Plus there was the problems that come with having tapes " see photos "
many younger ones will ask " what the eck are those things "
well they were the in thing at one time..
So I am very happy to give this album Five Gold Stars for being on CD now so it will last
"The boy in the bubble"you will have trouble keeping your toes still while this is playing, great starter for any album, great lyrics as well.
"Graceland"the most iconic song on the album.
"I know what i know"as less well known song, great tonship rythym,it is party time!!
"Gumboots" another feast of fun with great lyrics
"Diamonds in the soles of her shoes"perhaps the best vocal performance on the album, some marvelous harmonies by Ladysmith black mambosa.
"Yiu can call me Al"everybody will know this.
"Under African Skies"a beatifull mid paced song that ould have suited Art Garfunkel well.
"Homeless" a slower song led by sounds that will enchant you that only Ladysmifh can sing.
"Crazy love volume II"sounds like King Sunny Ade.
"That was your Mother"more great zydecco music, great sax solo as well,my favourite track.
"All around the world or the myth of the fingerprints"again another great knees up,cajun style!!
"Diamonds on the soles of er shoes".....Alternate version"i have come to the conclusion that there are no fillers on this album.
"All around the world or the myth of the fingerprints".....Early version great rocking early version, full of bounce.
"You can call me Al".....early version, and a very different infectious version it is too.
"Crazy love"......Demo another very good demo indeed.
"The story of Graceland......As told by Paul Simon a nine minute interview with Paul explaining the genesis of the album.
The DVD is an excellent extended film documentary
The Packaging is a large card triple fold with fixed envelopes to hold both discs and is magnificent.
