This series is not quite of the same level as Prime Suspect but I would still recommend it to anyone who enjoys that kind of police drama or series such as Silent Witness. The Governor differs from those series a lot, it is not light entertainment but gives quite a ruff picture of prison life and how the environment effects those working there. What makes the series interesting is how well the interaction between people is described.
So bought this as I remember seeing an odd episode when I was a kid and wasn't really allowed to watch it.
But 19 years on I finally saw it on here. So this is the first series of The Governor and what a great and fantastic series dating back to 1995. The storylines in this Man prison dosnt even touch other prison dramas like prisoner cell block h or bad girls but for any fan, this is a must have.
found a copy of this in the 99p shop-just one episode i love lynda la plante so i just had to get it fantastic action and seems true to life doing time
