So the maiden voyage was ok. The learning curve wasn’t to harsh and I found it reasonably controllable. So I took it out and had a few good flights. That was until today, I took it out and then it decided not to respond. It took off into the sky and nothing I could do would wake it respond. It wasn’t long before I lost sight of it. I ran as fast as I could but the farmers field it might of landed in was waist high. So another Syma with loss of control. Oh well.
Bought this as a gadget for myself. Must say it's easy to control and robust my only issue is the camera. Instructions tell you how to set it up, but no matter what I do I can't get the camera to connect to my phone. Instructions say blinking red light on camera , but no blinking red light to be had. Searched for a couple of hours on the net all to no avail. Will contact seller for fix. All in all apart from the camera a good gadget. And for info, no FPV or headless mode on this model
I hovered between two and three stars on this. The quadcopter itself is good for this price range, but customer service is not. Regardless of price ! The 'copter flys well and is quite easy to control with practice. My son is much better at that than me. Photo' quality is improving with practice. The buying experience was let down by poor customer service. The original listing I saw offered a spare battery and memory card. Neither arrived with the package. With the battery, I clicked on a 'what other customers bought' tab, this led me to a slightly different product which did not offer battery, my mistake you may say. The memory card was going to be forwarded. Two months later, no sign. They are cheap enough now, but annoying non the less. Read and re-read listings before ordering.
This was recommended as a robust and easy to fly ideal first RC copter. I bought the extra crash protection kit, started to get the hang of flying indoors when a motor stopped working.I contacted the supplier who told me to contact a uk supplier.I bought a new motor and fitted it.Back to flying,oh no, the copter flew for a few batteries (7mins a go)then it started to spin on one corner and will not rise,I've tried changing motors and contacting Syma,it's still spinning on one corner. The only good thing is the camera. You get what you pay for i suppose but it's not a good starting point
Had a tiny screw missing but they were unable to replace it without returning the whole thing. Ended up buying a whole new set of guards for the sake of one screw. The actual drone is fantastic, the camera quality is amazing and it is very easy to use. It is great for the money.
It is an okay product but there is a few issues I have had with it. My drone arrived yesterday and fly's really well, however, they did not include all 4 propeller guards. I did receive 2 prop guards but not 4 as the manual stated said I would. I have since ordered two of amazon for a fairly good price. Apart from that small issue the product is of great quality and fly's perfectly.
This drone is OK. Nothing more, nothing less. The camera is very poor. Controls are very basic. Remote is rudimentary. This is a gift for a beginner or a kid. Or something you want to crash before you get your hands on a DGI drone. Please note - DGI drones will be different to control in comparison to this.
