Awesome little drone for the money. It's super light so can be blasted about in the wind. The controller is comfortable in the hand, but has some odd bits which look like buttons but actually aren't. It's also difficult to tell if you're taking a photo or doing video… still figuring that one out. All in all it's good to practice with.
Great quadcopter for beginners, quite robust, can take a few crashes as long as they aren't to hard, and if you do break something spares are available everywhere and very cheap too, the only reason i gave four stars is the camera, to get anything close to decent image quality you need the best light you can get otherwise the images suffer from very bad noise and what looks like bad compression issues, so if you don't need a camera but want a great quad then do buy the syma X5C-1 upgraded version and remove the camera, and if you do want a camera then buy one of those 808 key chain micro cameras from ver #16 and attach it with two rubber bands and get better results.
It's a nice cheap drone with a camera. Batteries run out quick which is expected though and they do get warm so you must wait for them to cool down before cahrging again. Reccomend buying the multicharge station which comes with more batteries.
I bought this for my Dad as an Xmas present and I have to say as a starter drone its pretty good. After a bit of practice I managed to get to grips with the controls. Don't try and fly this in wind as you'll have no control at all. I found out the hard way! The camera is a bit fiddly and I've only managed to get one decent recording. Some files wouldn't open for some reason. A few bits have fallen off as its quite delicate so expect to come back and order spare parts. Order a few more batteries as well, do that and you'll be fine for a decent amount of flight time. Overall it's a good introduction model for anyone looking to try out a drone. Find a large space and go nuts!
Brought this product for my dad for his birthday and he absolutely loves it. Had a go myself and its very easy to control and use. Very good price and the camera is great for the size and cost of the product. Thank you.
Fly's great controller very sensitive takes time to master , battery compartment very tight and keeps coming undone especially after landing hence only 4 star's other than that ok haven't tested on seen video footage yet.
Great fun... if you find somewhere where you can legally fly it. I bought this for my 10 year old son on the basis that it would be easier to fly than his RC helicopter, and it most certainly is. We've taken some good videos with it too. Being limited as to where you can legally fly it is the only really issue. We took it on holiday (no problems there, since it was a remote location) but at home, we can only really fly it indoors.
For a value for money buy, I am very impressed with this. bought for my son's xmas. First attempt went very well and produced good photos and video. As usual, we did not read the user guide and did not realise the full controls. Second attempt, saw the drone go to about 100 feet in the air and about 50 yards away from us, only for my son to say he no longer had it under control. We watched it disappear over the next housing estate. Thankfully, I found it on someone's front garden a good 200 yards from mine, with no damage.Great fun, but we could have lost it, LOL.
