This release has two CDs that differ so drastically in style, that they should really be two separate releases.
CD 1
This cd is like a snapshot of an awesome clubbing night; it flows from 11pm style warm-up tunes, through to the 5am style hard stuff. The cd builds up with almost Techno type tracks, but with some extra umpf. The face picks up at track 7, and
Goodgreef never looks back. We have become so used to Hard Dance albums by Tidy and Nukleuz being loaded with tunes by household names like Lashes, Savage, Reynolds and BK, that this cd almost has an underground feel to it. I'm totally into the scene, and even I did not know half of the artists exposed on this release. It makes a awesome change.
Whom I believe to be the biggest talent from the north, Dark By Design, re-incarnates an epic tune, the legendary 'Till Tears Do Us Part' which will send shivers down any old-time clubber's spine. The man marked his territory on the fist Goodgreef album with 'Severe Punishment'; this time he delivers 'Bitch', which is also set to become a classic.
Anne Savage surprises me with her new tune, which is very hard. But just when you thought that the tunes could not get any harder, the Jap master of Hard Dance steps in to show everyone in the UK who is the daddy!
CD 2
Even thought this cd sounds a little London, Rob Tissera does a good job not to live up to the Nukleuz and Tidy clichés too much. What he does though is show the staggering difference between a clubbing night in London and one up north. Although the cd sounds a little too familiar, there are a few exclusives on here, which are great. And of course the final track on cd2 simply completes the experience.
If any hard dance album had it all, this one does!

The first half of cd1 is hard techno, but its very tuneful techno, you can't help but think its a selection of the best thats out there, and I normally hate the slower sophisticated techno sound, but I loved the first 10 tracks. Stand out tunes are Adam sheridan- Letrik, Cave- Carnival, Nu NRG-the mind.

A remix of Tiesto's Traffic followed by loops and tings, sets up the pace for the best finish to an album I've heard in ages. I wont spoil it too much, but the last tracks are from Legend B, Dark by design (latest tune), Anne Savage (latest) and Yoji Biomehanika (Hardstyle at its purest and his latest). Just awesome mixture of epic/anthemic hardtrance to hardstyle madness.
CD2 mixed by Rob Tissera, he likes his female vocal tunes. Just an awesome mix, every tune is wicked. Hardtrance, to hardhouse to euphoric to goosebumps, he knows the formula for a good mix. Great pace and great energy. Full of stand out tunes, Charlotte Birch- beat the drums, Blue Amazon- No other love, K90-axis and Rob Tissera- Stay are a few examples of many. Applause goes to the finish though, a dark by design remix of Heaven's Cry- Till tears do us part, harder and still contains the essence, a real treat.
A fantastic album that's got everything. The best of Hard trance, hardtechno, hardstyle and hardhouse, 17 tracks for cd1, 19 for cd2. Even if your fussy (especially if your fussy), you'll be mesmorised by this breathtaking compilation. The best hard album of the year by far.
