A disappointing little book with precious little about the history or the construction of gondolas or about gondoliers. I can just see the publishers thinking this was a Great Idea given the author's following. But it isn't. It says little of interest and is full of rather pointless waffle. Nice CD though, if seemingly unrelated to the subject. Best get that and forget about the book.
