Through this book, it was easy to see that he needs to get his "frustrated golfer syndrome" under control. the level of frustration he experiences during, and even after playing a poor game, only hinders his potential performance. The amount of stress he feels after messing up a few times takes away from his stroke, and as that intensifies, he's basically left with a game that's been mentally blocked.
Once diagnosed, this book basically leads you through the steps needed to overcome the mental anger/stress...like the importance of developing a pre-game routine and building self confidence. While this won't help me out on the greens (since I'm no golfer), I could tell my husband gained something positive from it, and may put these tips into practice, so I'll give it 4-stars. we'll see if it actually makes a difference!
I must say, there are tons and tons of books on golf. But I prefer to give new author a chance by choosing those with less than 10 reviews. This is when I stumbled upon Daniel's Golf Psychology book. I bought it and gave it to my husband and he devour it under one sitting. He was so amazed with the information and started using it on his game.
He likes it very much, he told me that this book has lots of great stuff that he has not seen before. There is this part called psyching up during the game, he told me he has improved his scores after this part. You should read this part as I do not want to give away too much. My husband likes it and definitely it helps him.
I will probably need more practice but this book really helped me getting the right mindset even before learning golf basics.
This book is fantastic and I recommend it to men or women who would like to start playing this sport like me. This book would be a good help for golf players, too. Good read!
