I particularly liked the way two plots eventually intersected and how the lands beyond the Old Kingdom are evolved. I also liked that Touchstone eventually said what we've all been thinking 'why does this family forever run straight at the first enemy that sticks up its head?'
I laughed and cried. Spot on Mr Nix.
I was glad for the development of the characters that we did spend time with. Also, people complain about the pacing of the book, but I think they forget how the originally trilogy was. There has always been a lot of journeying but I did not care because you are learning about the land and the characters. In fact I think it is relaxing to have a book where everything isn’t all happening at once and there is time to read pages at leisure. The overall dilemma and danger of the book is still always there and so I’m happy to lap up the bits between.
I don't want to give any details away, but if you enjoyed the other books in this series, you will love this one!
