A fantastic resource for anyone considering self-publishing in Germany. I found the breakdown of sales and ebook platforms useful, as were the suggestions on which platforms to publish on and how to start marketing. Thanks!

Ebooks really are going global and I was intrigued when I came across this book as I know there is a huge English speaking audience in Germany as well as other countries like India and the Netherlands which nonetheless are different in their approach to how they look for new books to read. This book provides statistics and useful facts to back up its claims. It's well-written and researched and even if you're only interested in the US market there is some useful information about Amazon and how it works as well as some "insider" information about Germany, such as German holidays and book sites that you should consider, all tried and tested by the author who writes fiction as well as non-fiction herself. For anyone who wants to expand their readership beyond the US and UK, this book will be a good investment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Helpful, pragmatic information 30 Oct. 2013
By Anna Erishkigal - Published on Amazon.com

I needed helpful, step-by-step information about how to reach the German ebook reader market. This book delivered it. Some of this information was stuff I already knew having marketed books elsewhere. Some of it was not. It -did- deliver some tips that I was NOT aware of that would generalize back here to the US ebook market.

No magical bullets here ... marketing books is hard work no matter where you go. But I'm glad I invested a few buck to buy this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sprechen Sie Indie? Another helpful tool for indie writers 27 Dec. 2013
By HM - Published on Amazon.com

Some great advice on how to crack the German/international market for indie writers. Ebooks are still a few years behind in Germany compared to the US so why not get in on the ground floor? Lists some interesting promotional tools for marketing books in other countries. There is small but viable market for English novels in Germany and this book informs indie writers on how to approach this potentially lucrative territory.
3.0 out of 5 stars Some useful blogs 20 Aug. 2014

While I did get a helpful tidbit or two from this book, I was a little disappointed in it. I had hoped for more ideas about marketing in Germany. While there were a few helpful blogs listed there really wasn't as much there as I had hoped.
