HASH(0x8fd63d14) out of 5 stars Perfect Devotion Time 14 Jan. 2010
By Joel D. Weber - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
As with his other book, Tozer works mightily to describe what should be the aim and walk of every true believer. His words are carefully chosen and his sentences pregnant with heavy truths.

I have used this book for my morning devotions for 2 main reasons. First, unlike most devotion books, Tozer does not try to offer you a witty quote or few sentences for the day - but will rightly engage your whole person in important truths spanning some 10 pages per chapter. Finally something one can chew, ponder and pray over.
Second, what Tozer writes is not milk by any stretch. His insights into the trinity, the entanglements of the world and our refusal to truly follow the cross of Christ are heavy items for long reflection. He is gentle but unflinching in his appraisal of false Christianity and the diluted teachings of the church. With support from Scripture, Tozer points every believer to cast away the world and its lies, while teaching us to reverence and love all three persons of the Godhead.
Tozer fills the gap in presenting Scripture and insights into the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He does not leave any out and further, claims that to do so is deny the other two.

I encourage the reading of Tozer for the deepening of your walk with God, your fashioning yourself after Christ, and securing the indwelling Spirit.

HASH(0x9058469c) out of 5 stars The excellence you expect from Tozer 10 April 2010
By Donald James. Parker - Published on Amazon.com

A.W. Tozer was a giant in the Earth. With fearlessness, he serves up hard-to-digest truth on the platter of anyone bold enough to venture into this realm. It's not that the writing is impossible to decipher. The problem arises in that Tozer does not sugarcoat the gospel to make anyone feel good about themselves and their theology. This book was gratifying to me because it confirmed that the assessments I have made during my spiritual journey are in line with his conclusions. Powerful and succinct writing combined with liberating but yet captivating truth is an awesome combination. Tozer is one of few who produces this combination, a sure sign that the Holy Spirit that Tozer writes about was definitely a guiding force in his life.

Tozer is always wonderful to read; however, like reading his books, I am always having to go back and listen to what he says again and again. For those that want to truly seek GOD and all of His Glory, I highly recommend this audio!!!

HASH(0x92c1130c) out of 5 stars Ebook formatting not good 27 May 2014
By Emily Williams - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I'm only giving a review on my experience using this ebook conspired to others I've purchased and used from Amazon, and not the content.
I've used other ebooks from Amazon and they've been great! Pages numbered correctly, no matter the size of the text, bookmarks links work perfectly. This one not so much. (Note I have been reading other books on my kindle at the same time I was using this one with no issues, so I know it's just this book and not my kindle) The book says it's only 71 pages it's not. Easily over a hundred, so I couldn't use the bookmarks or write down page numbers to return to certain passages sections. Because sometimes two pages had the same number, an it would send me to the wrong place. The only time bookmarks worked was the first page of the chapters. Other functions work fine except the page numbering. Which is pretty big in my opinion, I like to go back to sections I've read which was really difficult without rereading a whole chapter to find what I wanted.

HASH(0x8fd68318) out of 5 stars Wao, what and amazing book ! 3 Mar. 2014

As always the work of A.W. Tozer moved me from doctrinal Christianity to spiritual Christianity. One detail that touched me from this volume is how Tozer differentiates between Christianity under the influence of the Holy Spirit and empty academic doctrinal fundamentalism. He said that good doctrine without the experience power of the Holy Spirit is human flesh effort Christianity. Christianity should be based on good doctrine but under the power influence of the Holy Spirit. Something fundamentalist had lose on their path.
