Followed the story through all the other books and this one closes off the series nicely. Not one for athiests but for those of us who are more of the agnostic variety and do not discount the possibility of a God, a most enjoyable read. Difficult to put down I must admit. Don't suppose there's any chance of a follow on to these is there?

I'm pleased to say I have now read all the books in this series. This one, in common with the others, is excellent. Heartily recommend it.

Realm of Evil is the 4th and final book in the Gods Lions series. And it's a cracker like the rest! The story moves from the forces of good to evil back and forth, leaving you breathless as to which side will finally prevail, even though you may find yourself actually praying that Cardinal Amedelo defeats the antichrist! A fantastic book and a fitting end to the series.

A fitting conclusion to an excellent series of books. I wait to get to the end. Fast-paced, enjoyable and full of suspense. The age-old fight for good against evil, fought by an unlikely group of friends - Catholic priests, cathars, Jewish special forces and Israeli Christians - is simply exhilarating

I enjoyed this last(?) in the series of God's Lions. The plot - or rather ending was more or less as expected, but the journey there still with twists and turns and enjoyable - kept the pages turning!!

I have been impressed by the text and language - only a very few 'Americanisms' - but the grammar and construction made reading easy. I'm afraid that I lose patience with authors who cannot spell or use reasonable English.

Also liked the general lack of 'in your face' violence which seems to many authors to be necessary to produce a 'thriller'.
I will look out for this author again.

Four absolutely amazing books, no bad language, very few typos and a gripping and exciting story. You do, however, need to start at Book 1 (Gods Lions, The Secret Chapel) and read in sequence as the books don't really stand alone; but believe me....it's no hardship.
As the story ends the plot twists and turns, the characters face huge difficulties and although you know in your mind how it must end - you are reading so fast that you really don't have time to stop and work it all out.
Just SO brilliant, highly recommended

Leo and the rest of the Bible Code Team come together to finally defeat Adrian Acerbi. Although this story stands alone, it makes more sense if you have read the earlier stories as there are frequent references to the circumstances which have led to their current problems. The conclusion was never in doubt but this does not detract from the narrative as there are numerous threads that have to be tied up. Given the nature of the plot it is inevitable that there are numerous theological discussions, some of which are quite complex and possibly unnecessarily detailed. I think this sometimes slowed the flow of the story and could have been left out altogether, but others might find them more interesting and relevant. To some extent the reader has to be prepared to accept that only the leader of the Roman Catholic Church can confront and defeat The Forces of Evil, with other denominations and religions playing supporting roles. In some instances the novel seems to be an apologia for the Roman Catholic Church.
The interplay between the characters has been carried through the whole series and each has become more fully developed. The story ends with some of these relationships still unresolved, thus leaving an assumption that there is more to come. I shall look forward to the next novel not least because Leo suspects that the forces of Evil are merely biding their time.
