I've had this album playing all week and the more I listen to it the more I love it. I wasn't really into Let Go for Tonight when it was released a couple of months ago, which is strange because I know it was a hit, but I loved Youth last year. The song that really struck me and made me want to discover this album more and more is White Coats, for it's dooming chorus, driven by heavy reverbed piano similar to Depeche Mode's piano in Violator and Songs of Faith and Devotion. Another great track is the opening Talking to Ghosts, which samples Propaganda's Dr Mabuse, it's nice to know Foxes is influenced by the kind of music I like (even thought I'm in my 20s). Every time I listen to this album a song grabs me, but currently White Coats is the song I have on repeat. Definitely a highlight of 2014.
Among all the random pop in the charts, I'm glad there are still talents like Foxes putting out great, emotional music.

The album starts with Talking To Ghosts, an interesting piece of electronica with very enjoyable percussion in the background. Youth is another enjoyable electronic track. After two good songs, things actually start to improve! Holding Onto Heaven is a catchy song with a chorus that sounds as i it came out of a Texas song (I am a fan of Texas, so this is definitely a compliment). White Coats is another catchy song and another highlight.

Then we have Let Go For Tonight. For this listener, this is the best song on the CD. This is a very lively song with excellent use of piano and what sounds like strings (although I can't see strings credited anywhere).

The next four songs are all catchy and qualify as highlights. Shaking Heads is particularly enjoyable to this percussionist because of the use of percussion!

The album ends with Count The Saints, which I would describe as good.

Out of 11 tracks, I've selected 7 highlights and 4 good songs. I cannot possibly justify anything less than five stars.

Fantastic pop - ranging from dancefloor anthems to Kate Bush-esque introspective pieces. There is some considerable amount of talent at work here and the album has a very high killer-to-filler quotient.

So far, seems very good although I've been waiting for this since I first heard Youth. In fact, that's my only disappointment so far - Youth (IMHO) was one of the best songs of last year and this isn't the radio edit - the album version peters out instead of building to the final chorus so I guess I'll be splurging 99p for the single version.

I bought this album after hearing a few songs from Foxes such as "Let Go For Tonight", "Holding On To Heaven" and "Glorious". After hearing these songs and liking each one greatly, I bought the album expecting some other good songs along with them. And conveniently enough, every single song on the album is brilliant! All rhythmic and beautiful songs, I am superbly pleased with this buy. To sum up my feelings for this album, I can only one think of one word. Glorious.

I really have no idea why I bought this album. Perhaps because of a foxy young lady on the cover? Anyway, I was not aware that foxes could sing, but this one most certainly can. It's difficult sometimes when someone asks you why you like an album, or what it is about an album that you like. With this one I think it comes down to a brilliant singer, some very good songs, and a performance which I think is just what it says on the tin, 'Glorious'. I just love listening to it.

Bought as a gift initially, but got it myself too. Apart from a weird case which I feel like it would damage the disc over time, the album is great. Only a couple of tracks of the 14 or so don't take my fancy. One of my faves of the year thus far.

I stumbled upon Foxes whilst watching Glasto where she performed an amazing acoustic set. I then purchased the album and have been revealing in her deep reaching sound.

The tracks on the album have sufficent variety to provide a platform for Foxes range of tones and pitches to be fully displayed. Quite simply i love the album and would recommend to everyone.
