I am a retired school teacher who became interested in ancient Egypt at the age of eight and since then I have become more and more fascinated by this amazing culture. During my teaching career I taught Religious Education to secondary school students in several schools throughout England.
For several years I was a member of AEMES, the Ancient Egypt and Middle East Society based in Lincolnshire where I lived at the time. During those years I edited and published their twice yearly Journal and also taught courses for the Workers Educational Association on subjects connected with ancient Egypt.
I now live in Cornwall where my husband and I are happy to be much closer to our grandson Benjamin whom we are able to see on a regular basis.
I enjoy writing and also doing the research for each book which I believe is most important if I am to give a true picture of life in the ancient past.
