Brilliant book. After having enjoyed the first book by this author, Glasdrum matched up to my expectations and, much like Daughter, Disappeared, it was hard to put down.

I'd thoroughly recommend Glasdrum for it's humorous and dark portrayal of a Scottish village and the element of suspense which was maintained throughout the book.

After reading Fiona MacBain's debut novel Daughter, Disappeared and finding it very hard to put the book down, I was very much looking to her next one. Have just finished reading it and can honestly say it did not disappoint. Roll on 2018 and the follow up! ....

This book centres around mysterious deaths and thriller-like circumstances, but it's so much more than that – at it's heart, it is about the lives of the women who live in this small town, their interconnectedness but also their personal secrets and troubles. Fiona MacBain has a real knack for giving each of these women their own voice, and that's what really makes this book! Highly recommend.

Great! Can't make up my mind if I enjoyed this one more than the last....both equally enjoyable I think :) A really good read, good plot and a couple of bits that surprised me! Well done Fiona! I'm waiting for the next book!

Really enjoyed this latest book from Fiona Mac Bain after loving her first novel Daughter, Disappeared. Glasdrum was very much a page turner. Loved the way the story is told by the different characters and I couldn't wait to find out where the story was heading next.

Could not wait for her second book as the first was so gripping. This book although a completely different setting did not disappoint was as much of a page turner as the first. The descriptions were fab could imaging exactly the layout of the village and enjoyed the unravelling of the stories of the characters. An excellent read, highly recommended.

I loved Fiona MacBain's first book but this one not quite as much. The characters were interesting and I was eager to find out the conclusion but overall I felt the baddies were a bit lame and underdeveloped.

My biggest criticism was the big reveal towards the end with one of characters, facing almost certain death and in all the panic, still managed to answer questions to explain what had been happening with the 'mist murders' all along! It did spoil the ending for me, and I felt it was all a little bit rushed to reach the conclusion.

Otherwise yes it was ok. And yes I will probably read more of Fiona MacBain's books in future. This one just didn't quite hit the mark for me.
