The first time I read this I wasn't too sure it was a book for me.

I was wrong.

The more I read the more I couldn't put it down, I just had to continue reading. This story isn't just about finding love, it's about loss, grief, loneliness and also about forgiveness, second chances to those that truly deserve to be happy despite all the bad that has happened to them. And yes, love too. This story is painful and real and I'm glad I stuck with it.

5 stars.

Give Me Yesterday by K Webster and Elle Christensen

This book is about loss and acceptance. The heroine Victoria (Tori) Larkin has been through so much heartache and loss at such a tender age. Her heart was broken and as a direct result, she became the ‘Ice Queen.’ However after a blow up at work she sent to grief counselling.

Through the grief counselling she meets Chase, an enigmatic character who runs a grief support group. He makes it his mission to get to know Tori a lot better. He integrates himself into her life.

He however has his own inner demons, he focuses on helping Tori through hers and she helps him in her own way get through his.
My heart was so invested in this story right from the beginning. Chapter after chapter, had my heart racing in anticipation of what was going to happen next.

I swooned with Tori, cried with them both as they worked through their grief. I felt each and every emotion possible. I honestly do not recommend you read this book without tissues. Yes I know I scared you for a second then! Haha! Seriously, tissues, not one box, ten would be better.
I will keep this review short as I refuse to spoil it for anyone but essentially, it is an ugly cry, it will make you feel and I promise you it will stay with you for a long time.

The twist in the book had me in shock and I never saw it coming, it was not what I expected at all but it worked with the story and for me made the ending that much more special.

Both of the lovely authors have penned an amazing story and I will treasure this little gem forever!

This is my first book from them both, but it will not be my last.

Ladies and Gents (if you like romance) please pick this up, read & treasure each word..

For the last 10 years, Victoria has and closed herself off from everyone, she has very little contact with her family, she has no friends and no life really outside work. That's her life and she doesn't care about anything else. After struggling for years she finally cracks and her boss forces her to attend group therapy for grief counselling. Reliving her past the last is the absolute last thing she wants to do but it's either that or lose her job, so she reluctantly attends and that's where she meets the gorgeous Chase who is determined to make her live and love again.

Both Chase and Victoria are such brilliant characters, the chemistry between them was undeniable and I just got lost in their story.

I was broken before I even got to chapter one. The prologue to this book is absolutely heart wrenching. If you are looking for an "ugly cry" book then this is definitely for you. I think I cried harder reading this book than any other I have read.

I have a major book hangover from this book. I read it in one sitting, reading till the early hours as I couldn't put it down. Such a beautiful and heartbreaking read. I highly recommend this book.

HASH(0x9859c750) out of 5 stars 5 Beautiful Stars!!! 25 Sept. 2015

5 Beautiful Stars!!!

“There is no option number three. When it came to passing out happiness, apparently my bucket was already too full of misery. Only this time, this time I opened myself up so much that I don’t know how to close the wounds again. There is a searing fire that is down deep in the depths of me, breaking me beyond recognition.”

Ever since I read Erased by K.Webster and Elle Christensen, I have been dying for the two of them to work together again. Their writing is like magic. It sucks you and captivates you. It makes you feel and truly experience the words written on the pages. So, when I heard about Give Me Yesterday, I was like sign me up please! I had to read it! I had to know if the two of them would make magic again, and they did.

Give Me Yesterday pulled me in from the very first page. That prologue. Oh, my goodness; that prologue. I made two pages in and knew I was about to read something amazing. In matter of minutes, my heart was completely broken. ” I want to ask where the third casket is. I can’t live without a heart, right? And yet, here I am, breathing without them.” My heart ached for Victoria and I could not wait to read more.

Victoria is a shell of the woman she used to be. She is ruthless, heartless and never lets anyone get close to her. Until one day, she breaks and her boss forces her into grief counselling. At first she mocks it. She just wants to get it over with and get back to her life. But then she meets Chase and all bets are off. {“I don’t have a pet fish. But, I do struggle everyday, just like you do–and everyone else in here for that matter. Wishing for God to give me yesterday. To find a way to change the past and to breathe life back into those that were lost. Just because we all grieve differently doesn’t mean we all don’t suffer with same black, endless, aching holes of despair deep within our hearts.” -Chase} Slowly, but surely, Chase makes it his mission to break Victoria’s cold exterior and remind her that she is alive. “No one can be strong all of the time. That’s why it’s in our human nature to seek another soul out there. Someone to be strong some of the time for us. Someone to share your burdens with.” He is determined to help her find peace and finally be able to move on. What neither one of them planned on, was falling in love.“I’m addicted to this woman. Her presence is a salve to the gaping hole in my heart. A light to scare away the darkness of the hate for myself. I need her.” Just when Victoria finds the strength to move on, she learns something that destroys everything that her and Chase worked so hard for. Will Chase and Victoria be able to escape the ghosts of their pasts or will they always be wishing for yesterday??

I absolutely loved everything about this story. I felt an instant connection to Victoria and Chase. Their emotions were so raw, so real, so palpable. You just wanted to hug them both and promise them that everything would be ok. Victoria is hardworking, stubborn, frustrating, smart and still grieving. She has so much love to give and I love that Chase was up for that challenge. Chase. How could you not love Chase? He was smart and funny. He was 100% alpha male. He was determined. But, under all of that, lived a tortured soul. And being with Victoria, gave him faith and the hope to move on and what he least expected; love.

Give Me Yesterday takes you on one emotional ride. The writing is flawless and captivating. It will make you laugh. It will make you smile. It will make you swoon. It will leave you with tears in your eyes; some happy, some sad. This book has destroyed me in the best way possible. Days later, I’m still thinking about the characters and their story. This book gave me everything that I wanted and more. One of my favorite things was the twist. I know you’re probably thinking, why was that her favorite part? That twist was so good, so unexpected. It floored me. I could not believe what I was reading. And in a way, I think that it made me connect with the characters even more. Read it for yourself and you’ll understand what I am talking about.

There’s not much left for me to say, other than I loved this book. K. Webster and Elle Christensen do not disappoint. I can not wait to read more from these two ladies in the future.

HASH(0x9884d0d8) out of 5 stars GIVE ME CHASE!!!! 3 Oct. 2015
By Two Unruly Girls - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this book. Never in a million years did I think that my heart would be left with the words THE END. All I’m waiting on now is for Blake Shelton to come and announce duo of the year. I usually shy away from the books that may rip my heart out, but when it comes to K. Webster and Elle Christensen I just grab the biggest bottle of wine and settle in for a book that will rock my world. I started the Prologue and thought these bitches are going to shred me then slowly put me back together. The sick thing about it, I couldn’t wait for it to happen.

Chase was the guy we all dream about but always seems out of reach. I love the reformed playboys who get their balls handed to them when they finally meet the girl of their dreams. Chase didn’t disappoint. He went after Tori knowing that she was it for him. Relentless in his approach to shatter every wall guarding her heart.

For ten years Tori has been existing - not really living a life. As much as I understood the cold-hearted woman she’d become, I loved seeing life breathed back into her with each page turned. Watching her unravel to the person she used to be and rooting her on to be the person you wanted to see.

Books like these are the reason why I read. The reason why I get lost inside of another world completely oblivious to anything on the outside. You don’t ever expect that a book will speak to you and draw you in and never let you go. It’s not too often you come across a book that is good, but has a message that people will relate to. K. Webster and Elle Christensen just have a way with words that they just seem to blend into this world that is painted full of color.

HASH(0x987fb120) out of 5 stars No hearts or souls left untouched! 25 Sept. 2015
By Jelena Bosh - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Captured my heart and messed up my soul!!

I still have bloody tears poring down my cheeks and wont even start to explain how much my heart aches. GIVE ME YESTERDAY was as an emotional journey as you might think just by looking at the cover or reading the synopsis. Here we have a girl who lost so much and has turned into someone that not even she herself can recognise.. Through realising how strong of an impact the loss she had has affected he life, even years upon years later, she meets Chase, and what seems to be her last saving grace.

I loved those 2 characters so damn much!! I was crying as early on as that courtroom scene where that "wife/mother" almost made me break my kindle in half - if that was ever possible. But I mean, I have never experience such a grand and tragic loss as Victoria did, but hearing what that low life woman had to say about her own child? Jesus. My anger boiled so much that I bet if I held on to corn cobs, they would pop. Yes I did just use that metaphor. Just go with it..

Elle Christensen GIVES us so much, so damn much. At the same time though, she takes away any emotional balance you might have had prior to reading a story that will tear your heart open and wont let it heal until the very last page.. maybe not even then.

I couldn't get enough of the sheer beautiful, touching, emotional and down right chilling way that she was able to capture the minds of 2 characters who each have a piece of my heart..

Before I start crying again, not that I truly ever stopped with the way GIVE ME YESTERDAY too control over my feelings, but I just want to say a big fat thank you to the author for being able to provide an ARC of a book that needs to come with a warning. A warning of being to realistic and sad, heartbreaking, unfair and all things soulful. A mixture that will sure keep you wondering how mere words can transform an entire person's mindset on love, loss and life.

GIVE ME YESTERDAY will forever hold a piece of my heart. Call it cheesy or cliché but I think I found a book that will become part of who I am from here on out.

TOO. BLOODY. EMOTIONALLY. BREATHTAKING.

HASH(0x985620cc) out of 5 stars Two Authors One Incredible Read 25 Sept. 2015
By Elizabeth Clinton - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
What do you get when two fantastic authors co write a book you get a book that will absolutely take your breath away.
Give Me Yesterday is a book that will have you reaching to the deepest part of your soul and feeling every emotion that you ever experienced.
When we first meet Victoria we meet a young woman who has a life altering experience one that will take your breath away and might even have you putting down your kindle just because of the emotions that you feel coming right off the pages.
Years pass when we meet her again and she is now a
High Powered Attorney with a heart of ice that is truly understandable but when things from the past control your future things need to change.
We meet the very handsome College Professor Chase Monroe who also one might say has his own demons to deal with but he surrounds himself with people willing to help him.
Circumstance has Chase & Viictoria meeting and when they do you can actually see the ice thaw from around her heart and you hope that maybe they both can heal one another and find happiness once again.
The rollercoaster of their relationship takes you on a emotional ride but one you definitely will stay on so you can see where it all ends up.
There are so many quotes in this book that can easily take your breath away and Kristi & Elle have truly tapped into emotions that will have you reaching for the tissues but also have you reading this book from start to finish in one sitting because I know that is what happened to me.
All I can really say is that these two woman are incredible authors all in their own way but together there are no words to describe how Fantastic they are when they come together to write a book.
