Well written and I really love that it is set in ENGLAND and not the Us suburb of the film.
there are always details missing when a book is turned into a movie - and although I also loved the film, there was enough additional detail in the book to keep me gripped.
My hat's off to Hawkins, she did great. It's also the most moving and seemingly truthful showing of a female character with a drink problem I have read.
I became so engrossed in it (despite getting a bit confused).
The ending was so disappointing but a gripping read until the last chapter.
