Having read all of Cathy's previous books, I was in haste to buy her new novel, Ginger Snaps, from my local bookstore. I'm pleased to say that again Cathy does not disappoint.
I won't go into detail about the plot of Cathy's latest novel, but what I will say is that it is a story of failing friendships, & not being afraid to express your individuality.
All in all, it is enjoyable read, with an ending that really makes you think: Just because some people are seen as cool & popular, it does not necessarily mean that they are a kind-hearted person inside.
With Ginger Snaps, author Cathy Cassidy shares an important & meaningful life lesson to her readers, old & new: Follow your heart.

This book deserves way more than just 5 stars.
Seriously, get this book or miss out!!!

This is one of my favourite Cathy Cassidy books ever! WARNING. CONTAINS SPOILERS:
Ginger Brown used to be unpopular and cool. But in year seven, her older sister Cassia gives her a makeover. New girl Shannon befriends her, and have been besties ever since. At the start of year 8, Ginger finds herself liking new boy, Sam. But Shannon does not approve. Then Ginger finds loser Emily all alone, and gives her a a make over too. But Shannon now thinks that Emily is one of them, something Ginger did not intend on. Will Shannon ans Ginger stay frinds forever, or will Emily get in the way?

I really like this book; another winner from Cathy Cassidy! I would recommend it to anyone who is a girl aged 10-14.
An easy read, about friendship and fun and falling in love, about the problems of being a teenage girl and about being yourself, even if it means being different. READ NOW! 🎷💜💄x

Purchased for my niece for Christmas who said it was a really good read. Just right for her age. It's difficult to get books for this age group as too old for fairy type books but too young for some of the more teenager books.
