For anyone who knows rugby league and wants a running record of THE GAME, year on year on year, this is a good buy.
But if you are like the reviewer above, Womer, looking for a guide to rugby league grounds because you are not familiar with them all, the book you need to look for is "Rugby League, a Groundhopper's Guide" by Mike Latham. It's not a new title so it may be out of print but someone may be offering a second hand copy on the internet.
The book is absloutely perfect for reliving the season just gone, and can't be faulted on that score.
But I'm afraid, the statitics section still, as last year, needs some attention.
There's still no ground details, or past winners records in it,(which considering this book is the only game in town is pretty poor) and most suprisingly there's no all time RL records list in the book.
Considering no doubt, some well paid time server gets paid at RLHQ for keeping statitical records, you would think it wouldn't be too hard to get these added in.
The only course of action would be to get the last Rothmans in 1999 and do your own compiling from that, in conjunction with this yearbook, which is a shame really.
