Gigabyte GV-N1070IXOC-8GD Ultra Durable VGA GeForce GTX 1070 Graphic Card
WINDFORCE 2X Cooling System.
The WINDFORCE 2X cooling system features two 90mm unique blade fans, one pure copper composite heat-pipes, alternate spinning fan design, and heat pipe direct touch technology, together delivering an effective heat dissipation capacity for higher performance at lower temperatures.
Alternate Spinning Fan Design
Optimise air flow by the alternate spinning fans that reduce air turbulence and effectively dissipate the heat.

Unique Blade Fan DesignThe airflow is spilt by the triangle fan edge, and guided smoothly through the 3D stripe curve on the fan surface, effectively enhancing the air flow by 23% over traditional fans. |
3D Active FanThe semi-passive fans will remain off when the GPU is under a set loading or temperature for low power gaming. |
Composite heat-pipesThe composite heat-pipes combines both thermal conductivity and phase transition for efficiently managing the transfer of heat between two solid interfaces which increases 29% of cooling capacity. |

Heat Pipe Direct TouchThe pure copper heat pipes are shaped to maximize the direct contact area to the GPU. |
Protection Back PlateThe back plate offers rigidity and protection to the structure, while adding a sleek, clean look to the product. |

Issues aside. The card is performance is acceptable. But just be aware of the quality control if you're going to risk a purchase of this card. If you want to take a lottery when purchasing.
I bought this particular card directly from Overclockers who had a better price than Amazon and I also chose to have the payment processed by Amazon Pay which then qualified me for free fast delivery = a win/win.
I also used Overclockers as other suppliers were more expensive and/or out of stock and/or had slower free delivery.
I chose this particular version of the card as it is overclocked and runs my screen with a refresh rate of 165Hz (the blurb says it has military grade components etc which helped steer my choice as I wanted to use it overclocked).
My pc runs an I5-2500 (and needs better) and "luckily" my old gaming monitor died not long after and I bought an Asus ROG PG278QR - with the older pc and this 1060 card and my new Asus monitor, GTA V is now a different world, with most settings high, filtering kept x2, and with post fx set to ultra; the card and monitor (using G-SYNCH together) work very well and I get a refresh rate of 40-60Hz in GTA V at a res of 2560x1440, and I now run my desktop at 2560x1440@165Hz with a small font that is crystal clear.
NOTE: Important - to turn gsynch on for older games like GTA V you do need to enable the NVIDIA control panel "Set up G-SYNCH" option which IS obvious BUT you also need to use "Manage 3D settings" and the "Global Settings" tab to set "Monitor Technology" as "G-SYNCH"
my exact system specs are (im posting this for your reference if you want to build such a machine)
any atx based case should be sufficiant my reccomendation is one that has led's for better looks.

Initially the card worked perfectly with my gigabyte motherboard. I have never overclocked it or use it and high-end games. However quite recently a very noticeable and distinct rattling vibrating sound came from the card once the fans reached between 60 and 80% of capacity. It sounded like a loose bearing or perhaps one of the fans striking a loose cable or label. On investigation I discovered that the noise came from only one fan which I determined was defective.
Initially when I contacted gigabyte they told me I should return the card to the retailer in this case Amazon. I replied that it was over two years old and far beyond the time I could return it. However it was still within the three year warranty given by gigabyte. Eventually I gave up talking to the gigabyte helpline and contacted the gigabyte return centre for the United Kingdom. They issued a RMA number but inform me that I would have to pay £15 return postage fee which I felt was a little unreasonable!
I returned the card and was told by this service centre they could not find anything wrong with it, however they still said they had replaced the fans and the heatsink and would return my card after several days. On receiving the card I found that it still had exactly the same fault under the same conditions. It was even the same cooling fan which was causing the problem. It was as if nothing had been done to rectify the problem merely the card had been returned.
I contacted them again, and told them it was still faulty. They asked me to return the card for re-evaluation. Again they say they cannot find any problem with the card. It is as if they don't want to admit about the fault, despite them saying there is not a problem, they have promised to provide an alternative card. But I am still waiting for its delivery? It seems as if they are making me wait as some sort of punishment for having the audacity of standing up for my rights.
I have video recorded the problem with the fan which quite clearly shows that the fan has issues when between 60 and 80% of load. I am quite happy to share this with anyone who feels they need proof. I have also come across numerous postings of other users who have the same problem under the same conditions. All I can say is I will never purchase gigabyte again from now on I will use ASUS who I feel are a more reliable and caring company who stand by their products rather than gigabyte who I have found are completely the opposite!
