4. Henry Mancini and his Orchestra - Moon River Cha Cha
5. Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 - Mas Que Nada

8. Robert Menescal - Voce
9. Lalo Schifrin - The Man From T.H.R.U.S.H.
10.Peter-Thomas-Sound-Orchestra - Caught At Midnight
11.The Sandpiper - Never Can Say Goodbye
12.Ray Conniff, His Orchestra and Singers - Music To watch Girls By
13.Martin Denny - Congo Train
14.Martin Bottcher und sein Orchester - Sonderdezernat K1
15.Ingfried Hoffman - Thunderball
16.Bert Kaempfert und sein Orchester - Bert's Bossa Nova
17.Burt Bacharach - Something Big
18.Luiz Henrique feat. Walter Wanderley - Happy Birthday
19.Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass - Slick
20.Horst Jankowski and his Orchestra - The Blues, The Beat and All That

I bought this Cd expecting a different collection - The Get Easy Sunshine Pop Collection, which I found out afterwards is a completely different collection. That double CD is listed on Amazon as Sunshine Pop Collection

After my initial disappointment I have to say I have been very happy with this CD. Great crystal clear sound throughout. There is only one obvious track Mas Que Nada, and the rest of the songs certainly have merit.

One of the greatest collections of easy listening music one can buy. One of my favourite guilty pleasures! A lot of well-known names, like Bert Kaempfert, Burt Bacharach, Martin Denny and Lalo Schifrin giving you that ultimate 60's feeling. In a way this is so Punk, more Punk than a new Green Day album, because it's so utterly, completely cheesy, un-PC and WRONG! Still: when you listen more carefully one discovers that the arrangements on most of the songs are awesome. Lot's of layers in rhythm, a wide choice of instruments, wonderful melodies that worm their way into your brain. Somehow this music seems to have been around us for ever, but I always discover new things after repeated listening. A must buy for every discerning music lover!

HASH(0x96af5bd0) out of 5 stars A Great Collection of Great Obscurities -- If This Is The Same CD 31 May 2008
By Steve Folta - Published on
Format: Audio CD
The copy of "The Get Easy! Sunshine Pop Collection" that I have is a 2 CD set with a different cover than the one shown here. But if it's the same set, it's well worth seeking out. The first song sets the tone -- "Always You" by The Sundowners is one of songwriter Roger Nichols' very finest, with words by Pet Sounds lyricist Tony Asher. Good luck finding it anywhere... but you need it if you're seriously into the sunshine pop genre. From then on it's a generous helping of (generally) excellent but (mostly) very obscure cuts from the late 60's.

Excellent lounge music. Don't bother with volume 2 but volume 1 is a must-own if you like lounge music. Yes.
