I have never suffered with this in my life but recently have. I tried the cream first but it was a bit messy. The suppositories were out of stock for a long time. People have been complaining that they have changed size, but I believe Bayer have gone back to the old size. Mine were anyway. Shop around. £4.99 for 12 here is expensive. I got 24 for that price, mail order from a well known high street chemist.
If you have never used these before, there is an art to it. Don't handle them for too long, they will melt. They're slippery little suckers so get it in as soon as you can. Its best to lie down. It's important to hold it in position just past the sphincter muscle for a minute or so, until it starts to melt. If you let go too early your sphincter will fire it out like a 303 rifle and take out one of your double glazing panels. You just have to hope that your neighbours don't choose this moment to look through your window to see if you're in before asking you round for a glass of wine. If they do, just wave with the other hand. You have to pretend you're in a 'Peter and the dike ' play and you're playing Hans Brinker in the leading role. If you let it pop out you're in all sorts of trouble. After its finishing ricochet'ing round the room, it's impossible to pick up. It resembles a boiled sweet they you've dipped in duck fat. It will not be reusable and at this price you don't want to waste too many. So, if you're having trouble with your south pole, get some of these. They work, and I never thought my bottom would be so pleased to have something put up it. :-)
