We recently bought this grill, and I wish I'd got one sooner.

It is so easy and convenient to use. You just preheat it for a few minutes, and then pop in your chosen food. Leave for the recommended time and voila! We've done all sorts in it already - steak, sausages, lamb escalopes, chunks of vegetables and even naan bread. It is so convenient; no more wasting energy and space by heating the oven for that garlic baguette, just pop it in the grill. It is a lot healthier too, as the fat drips away into the tray provided. The steak was great - I like mine well done, and it was well done, but still moist and tender.

You must try nectarines in it, they are out of this world. Just slice up a couple of nectarines, and pop them in the grill for about 5 minutes. Delicious as a healthy dessert.

I really recommend this to everyone who wants to eat more healthily and save on energy.

I bought this only a month after buying a useless grill with removable plates. Very quick to heat up and has a good constant temperature. Highly recommended if you are after a small easy to store grill.

Just NEVER buy a George Foreman with removable plates as they dont heat up correctly and are a pain to put back togeather. You will live to regret it and end up buying another like this.

I bought one of these to replace my 'Anthony Worrall Thompson' version. I've had it for maybe 18 months and the Teflon is starting to wear off now so perhaps I'll have to replace it soonish. I think that probably all these type of grills are prone to the same problem (Anthony's was MUCH worse). This one heats up quickly, has a convenient and easy to clean grease trap and the lid hinges to accommodate a variety of foods. Certainly not bad for the price but I think I'd look for one with removable plates next time.

This is my 2nd Gorge Foreman, it was the melt feature I was after as I hate having to combine the use of my oven grill. Now I can use the 'Grill and Melt'at the same time its good but a bit small (I can fit two slices of bread on it for cheese on toast) but its worth it. Hope this helps with your decision.

I bought this because I went on a diet and wanted something that would cook more healthily than on the hob or under the grill. I also tend to cook just for myself so needed something smallish.

Having read lots of different reviews I decided on this model, and it has been just fantastic! Use it virtually every day for burgers, skewered meats, chicken breasts, prawns, roasted vegetables, fish. The thing I hadn't thought about was how much time it saves also, cuts cooking time in at least half if not more - the roasted veg took under 5 minutes, lamb chops about 6 minutes. Cooks on both sides at once, and can accommodate odd shapes, so you can put different things on the grill together.

Also very easy to clean. I bought the sponges on recommendation by another Amazon reviewer and think they were money well spent.

Haven't tried the melt facility, as I am not eating grilled cheese (!) but gives you the option on this model.

Small and compact so great for one person - think it is designed for up to three servings.

Grilling food in my conventional oven is a hassle, repeatedly bending down to check, trying not to burn my fingers when taking out the food to check if it's done or turn it over. And having to warn my 4 year old son to keep well away for safety's sake. This is a lot safer and easier, and quicker too. It works very well on fish fingers, chicken breasts and salmon fillets. It didn't cook sausages right the way through - because the temperature can't be varied it cooked them too quickly on the outside and they were still slightly pink on the inside. I tried grilling sliced aubergines and red peppers, both of which took a long, long time - much longer than under a conventional grill, though fish and meat seem to do quicker - dunno why... I tried doing cheese on toast, i.e. putting the upper plate on its special hinge so that it doesn't touch the food, but it was sooo slow that I gave up and just made a two-slice of bread cheese toastie instead - works well for toasted sandwiches. It's extremely easy to clean - I spray it with vinegar and wipe off with kitchen roll. I'm using it nearly every day.

Great grill but forget the 3 portions (hence the 4 stars) I am a single person and my 3 slices of bacon fill it. For one person brilliant, two people still fine, three portions needed, then I suggest you definitely buy a bigger one. I haven't used the melt facility yet, suppose I should have done that before reviewing.

Anyway the main thing I wanted to mention, I find it very strange why some people have said that it is hard to clean?? It is an absolute doddle! it has even been said that if you don't clean it straight away it is so difficult and that your food is cold because you had to clean the grill straight away, WHAT? eat your food, take two hours to eat it if you want. turn your grill back on while empty, a minute or two later turn it off, wipe with a damp cloth while still hot, dry with a kitchen roll, done, perfectly clean and it takes less than a minute to do. I would recommend this grill for ease and speed of cooking and ease and speed of cleaning.
