Prompt delivery and well packaged.
In effect, its what I would call a telescopic fishing pole (the sort I used to take on holiday where you simply bought and fastened a line pre-fixed with hook, float and weights to the end to use). However its perfect for flying a windsock - light and flexible with a solid top section. Plus windsocks only need a single fastening point. Not sure about a flag, as it only has one eye at the top and a flag needs two points of fastening (or a loop round the pole for the bottom of the flag). I could not directly fasten my windsock to the eyelet on the end of the rod and I used a small metal keyring loop as the link (perhaps this highlights its fishing origins or my windsock has a large clip. That said, the eyelet is bigger than on a normal telescopic fishing pole).

It makes a perfect camping windsock pole (and perhaps flag pole). Its well made, lightweight and good value. You will need something to fasten it to / put it on (such as a stake in the ground). Hey and if you wanted, you could even use it for fishing (but dont tell the wife & remove flag first!).

I got this pole because several friends who I go camping with have them and fly varying things like fish, dragons, and 'twirly things' from them.

As the saying goes; 'monkey see, monkey do', I had to have one too!

The first one came damaged in the post (This is where I had concerns about how robust these poles were) however, without any fuss, the supplier sent out a replacement pretty quickly and the following weekend, I took it and my fish windsock with me on the first camping trip of the year.

Rain and high winds, a terrible weekend! However, the pole and the windsock were fine, anchored in with two ground spikes from the same supplier.

I suppose the main thing anyone looks for in a review is; would I buy another? Yes, I would.

I hope this was helpful as I always try to give an honest statement of my experience with a product.

I bought this for the garden as a novelty. I also bought a fish windsock to go with it from Amazon. The pole is indeed 4m long, thats metres not miles folks! Although it looks four miles when erect. The pole is telescopic and goes up in four sections so you could have it anything from 1 to 4m long! Each section locks nicely into place and feels solid at full lentgh. The tip is well made and should take a bit of stick as does the pole which is very strong as lightweight as it is! After being attached to a concrete fence pole the windsock pole now proudly flies a very colourful fish at about 13 feet that you can see from all around where I live! You could also use this as a flagpole of course, lots of flags on Amazon to choose from too!

These are not designed for big flags and they are certainly not designed for two flags, but I put two 5x3ft flags on it and wave it at cyclists. It amuses me greatly and it is massive. People stare open mouthed at it, and I am sure they all run home and order one. In Paris and at the Olympic road race last year, it added to the fun for me......or should I say the 3 meter one did, that's why I got a 4 meter one this year. I understand its limitations and every time it doesn't break is a bonus, so for me it is a 5star review, but my flagpoles are associated with such amazing memories that I am completely unreliable as a reviewer, probably! Be realistic and enjoy it for what it is, there isn't another way to wave a 4 meter massive flag at Bradley Wiggins in a layby in the Welsh mountains. If you know of one, then let me know!

im using this as a flagpole for one of our classic car club banners, the banner is made of thick canvas but the pole is strong enough to deal with this, all in all a very usable item

my grandson is infatuated with flags. He was thrilled to bits when he arrived at my house and saw a welsh dragon flag flying in my garden. Absolutely thrilled with the pole which withstands all sorts of weather. Well done.

The windsock pole I recieved is not the one that is in the picture advertised. The pole is one of there own brand and can be purchased cheaper directly from there website. I have yet to try the pole but by the look of it someone else could have already used it has a lot of scratches on it. So I would not purchase from this seller again.

At described on my review of the National Flag of Moldova - I wanted to find my tent in the incredible (but packed) camp site at the Latitude Festival, and so bought this flag pole. At 4 meters high its plenty high enough to "fly the flag" and can be seen from space!

Well OK - maybe I exaggerate a little.

It is telescopic and shuts down to a reasonable size for packing, reasonably light-weight and did the job nicely.
