I have a beam central vacuum system, and even though the system was a couple grand, the attachments that come with it are rubbish. The regular hoover attachment is very bulky, heavy and continually falls off with the friction of vacuuming on carpet. It's so heavy I have to vacuum by pulling the head towards me only, that's how bad it is. I guess they want to sell you the more expensive attachments... well I looked at this as an alternative to forking out 60 quid for beam turbo attachment.

We also have a very large house, and a very large very hairy bernese mountain dog. And it's moulting season...

I read the reviews on this Numatic attachment and opted to try it based on the dog hair aspects of other reviews. It said 32mm, so figured it would fit my 32mm round beam hose. Well, thankfully it's a perfect fit. And the first time I used it (today), I kid you not, I was like whoaaaaaa!!! It nearly took off on me! The bristles spin so fast the vacuum head feels like a self-propelled lawnmower when you use it on tiles, and combined with the fact that the attachment as a whole is really very light indeed (especially compared to my Beam attachment) it makes vacuuming carpets so (and I mean SO) much easier and faster. I started vacuuming the landing after work, and in about 30 minutes had done most of upstairs without brekaing a sweat. Another perk was that in vacuuming the whole of upstairs, it never came off once. Probably because it glides so easily.

It quite literally picked up ALL the dog hair. Some bits I had to go over a few times, but that is so quick to do with this attachment. I found it better if you hold the vacuum shaft out in front of you, so its almost at a 45 degree angle, rather than upright - the attachment glides much more easily at this angle and you can run back and forward with ease. One thing I will say, it is much much more noisy than a regular vacuum attachment, and if that's an annoyance or a factor for you, I would consider not bothering with this style of attachment at all, as I expect similar designs have the same issue... but to anyone else, especially other beam customers stuck with the stock beam juggernau.. I mean attachment, buy it. Buy it now. Wish I had bought it years ago. I think it would actually cut the time it takes to vacuum my whole house in half, and mean that you could in one go without having to take breaks or be completely pooped after. That's how much I rate this wee jobby. I even vacuumed downstairs later on this evening. And it left me with time and energy to steam mop some of the tiled areas too, also a first.

On an aside, my Bernese mountain dog is now more afraid of the vacuum cleaner than ever before. And she should be afraid... :)

If pet hair is the question.....

.....then this Numatic Airo Brush must be the answer. Just received this about 1 hour ago and immediately set about the usually back breaking and depressing job of trying to clean up the hair that smothers our carpets from our white labrador (who's moulting in warm weather is legendary).

Simply removed the regular brush from our Henry hoover and replaced it with the Airo Brush. The suction from Henry's motor drives a small fan in the brush head and the bristled roller at it's base. If you have ever seen one of those commercials where they clean a very dirty floor with some miracle cleaning agent and with one wipe cut a very clean path through the dirt then this is exactly how the Airo Brush performed on our carpet. Amazing. What would normally take 90mins to do (hallway and stair carpet in a town house plus 1 carpeted bedroom and 3 landings) took about 30 mins all in but with none of the back breaking effort previously required and a far better, deeper clean of the carpets.This item is of little use on wood, laminate or ceramic tiled flooring but the supplied brush with your Henry hoover is more than up to the task for those types of flooring.

The brush head is lightweight and easy to use and it's construction is almost completely plastic. It appears tough enough for the job and when i had finished the bristled roller did not appear to need cleaning from all those pet hairs which you would normally expect to start clogging the roller. There is a small removable panel on the underside of the brush head to remove any build up of fibres or objects.

How will this stand up to the rigors of frequent hoovering? Who knows...but for now it is a revelation and a very welcome one if you have pets and carpet.

£30 well spent....i am very pleased i bought it.

Update......

since we bought this item we have been vacuuming daily as the Airo brush has made this task unbelievably easy,quick and effortless. If it has any downsides then the only thing i can think of is that i will probably need to change the dust bag more frequently due to the cleaning efficiency of the brush....and i'd much rather the pet hair be in the dust bag than on our carpets.

This is an incredible tool....don't pay attention to the "very few" negative reviews...THIS IS A MUST BUY!!!

Just purchased this brush tool. I have a Numatic Steel-Cased NSQ 250B-22 commercial vacuum cleaner and wasn't sure if this new tool would be suitable or compatible, as my model wasn't specifically mentioned in the listing. However, it fits onto the pipe perfectly and stays put. Switched on and in use I found it extremely efficient in picking up all difficult hairs, fluff, etc, that my standard brush tool leaves behind. The head glided around my various rugs (thick & thin) easily and made quick work of the general vacuuming task.

However, 👎 the noise it makes in use when lifting the head off the carpet/floor a few inches to go to the next section, is extremely loud until it touches down again. Not sure why this should be but it's very irritating and hard on the ears!

On my wooden floors the new unit seems rather clunky - there isn't the option to switch from carpet to hard floor as the standard head can do. So I wonder if this unit is designed more for carpets and rugs than a hard floor? There isn't too much descriptive details in the listing unfortunately.

There are a lot of positive reviews given on here for this product 👍, but also quite a few very negative ones too 👎. So it's with trepidation that, each time I use the new tool head, I'll be half expecting it to malfunction, as other reviewers have found to their cost! Let's hope not. I wanted a more efficient tool head and now I've got one - long may it last 🤞.
