HASH(0x8f0ebe58) out of 5 stars Inspiration for New and Experienced Quilters alike 30 Sept. 2013
By Hannahbelle - Published on
Format: Hardcover
If you are the type of quilter who likes each and every piece to be perfect, go look for a different quilt book. Jane Brocket, among other bloggers, has revitalized quilting by making it more about fabric selection, color, fun, and simplicity than about cutting each piece at a perfect angle. I am not the type of quilter who spends hours piecing a log cabin star, but I love every quilt in this book and feel like there are plenty of challenges for those of us who are newer. If you're an experienced quilter, use the book to look at Jane's amazing choices for fabric and color -- truly inspirational!
HASH(0x8f0eda14) out of 5 stars Unconventional - and wonderful 11 Feb. 2016
By Emily Hensley - Published on
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
This book has been very inspirational for me as an amateur quilter (I had just finished my first quilt and was looking for my next project when I found this). Jane Brocket does a wonderful job encouraging her readers to strike out on their own instead of following strict guidelines with patterns, color schemes, etc. Her color choices and designs are beautiful. I love it that she shares her design inspirations with us. I can't wait to take on one of her projects! Thank you Jane!
