Anne Kerr is a professor of sociology at the University of York, specializing in gender and genetics. She lives in York, England. Tom Shakespeare is director of outreach at the Policy, Ethics, and Life Sciences Research Institute in Newcastle, England. His past research has focused upon disability and genetics.
