Anyway, when it arrived and I opened it, it was a foreign copy. I let that slide because I thought 'I bought it cheaper on Amazon, of course it isn't like the orhers'.
I tried the cup this morning to discover that it is in fact; just a cup. I don't know where all this screw on lid, novelty sip part of the lid or even the thermal inside went, I just know that I am absolutely covered in tea. I think I would have had more use if I'd stuck clingfilm over the top with a rubber band and then shoved a straw through it.
As for durability........let's start......I put some boiling water in from the kettle, (mainly to clean out for first use)....Although the liner is metal the outside of the mug became very hot whilst handling so my guess is not as well insulated as thought.
I would definitely not put in my kit bag with liquid in it as if it falls over or gets shaken around the liquid comes out of the top where the sliding cover for drinking is.
This being said I think it's a great looking novelty mug that might not be as practical as you would like but will hold a decent amount of liquid, (tea/coffee or whatever) and as long as it's in your control you can drink from it.
Despite the small negatives (pun intended) I really like this mug, it really does look the part and to be honest I can't see the cheap issues with appearance that others have described? I think it's bang on.
keeps the coffee nice and hot for a long time and is easy to drink from and clean
I only want it for the fun factor not as a flask. So go on, buy it!
