However, when I came to fill it up, it expanded at an incredible rate, and to start off it didn't seem like it was filling much at all.
I think that the 13lt will refer to if you filled it to it's maximum capacity which will be some what impractical. It does however hold a good amount of water and if you don't have the space to lump huge gerry cans around with you, it packs down nice and flat, but is also durable.
This led me to check all the Water Carriers. Three of them leak through the tap fittings when the Carriers are laid on their side. One leaks through the tap itself and two leak between the tap and the retaining collar. No, I am not delighted!
Great piece of kit and the 13lt capacity is generous but easily carried. And it tucks away so neatly when not in use. Excellent design!
Prompt deilvery too!
At least with the soft cube shaped ones it has flat sides to lay it on - this one was very odd shaped.
The plastic is lightweight too.
Luckily we tried it before we went camping - as we left it at home!

The Gelert Collapsible Water Carrier works very well, is relatively thin in collapsed state so I could not really picture it carrying 13 litre until it took forever to fill up. Read morePublished on 12 Sept. 2011 by SB
Bought one, but has been some time since, so just used for first time. Unstable, difficult to pour properly and not leak-proof. It will be binned.Published on 8 Aug. 2011 by A.Ward
I love this - takes up little space & is light weight when empty, holds plenty when full - nice simple bit of design.Published on 4 Aug. 2011 by The watcher of the world....
