I am very deaf with only 20% hearing. These headphones once set up are amazing. It is like someone has flicked a switch and allowed me to hear sounds I have missed out on for many years. I always loved music but lost interest when I could not hear it and appreciate it. These headphones have given it back. They are wireless so I can play my ipod through the transmitter (this gives better sound for me than plugging direct into the phones), so I can move around listening to the music. Ironing is no longer the burden it was!!!!! Plugged into the tv I can hear clearly what is being said and no longer have to rely entirely on subtitles which can be annoying for others. I wish my hearing aids, which are very good ones, had the same clarity as these headphones. The only reason I marked them down is because of the instructions, which in my opinion are very poor. They are made up purely of diagrams, and would definitely benefit from explanatory wording. The diagrams alone, I found, very confusing and I had to work out various things for myself. The other thing is that they need an audio output on the tv and on hi-fi, so if you don't have one one your set you need to buy an optical converter. This is not too expensive but frustrating if you buy the headphones and can't use them straight away. I am thinking of buying another set to keep in a different part of the house, they are just so good, and for the benefit they give, a bargain at the price.

As you get older certain things start to deteriorate, hearing being one of them. For the past two years or so I have found it hard to follow some television programs even with the volume turned up, so decided to try the Geemarc CL7400.The headphones arrived within a few days of order, well packaged and were up and running soon after delivery. What a life changer!! Am now able to hear all programs on the T.V. by setting the headset volume at the correct level for both ears, now realise that my right ear needs higher level than the left!!and the sound quality is very good, no hissing or crackling as some reviews reported.Money well spent!!!

The Geemarc CL7400 is an amazing great product, often the lounge was bedlam, now my parents can use the headphones to listen to the TV without the sound blaring around the house. There are no wires trailing and the sound is superb. Now the arguments are about who will use it. I would recommend this product for anyone who has hearing loss and are constantly turning up the volume on the TV, this product was so easy to set up we simply plugged into the Scart connector, everything was provided so it was very easy to plug and play. Now the TV is on low and my parents can alter the volume and tone to suit the presenter and their hearing loss. We all love this product, the sound quality is better than the TV outputs. We love the product so much we are going to buy another one for the bedroom, as my mother likes to read which was impossible before so now both can relax without disturbing each other.

I got the headset as a present from my wife who has suffered the TV at full volume for a while. Incredibly comfortable and clear loud sound. The only problem was that my TV only had an optical connection. However after checking I bought a digital analogue converter from amazon and problem solved.
Battery life is great about 6 hours and they really look cool.

The quality of sound is excellent but being somewhat deaf I found that the audible prompts when making an adjustment were inaudible..... and be warned, not all televisions have an audio output socket or equivalent. Look first, buy later. Bought in November 2013 it fractured at the junction of the charging contacts with the main body when I was wearing it in April 2016.

where have been.
These headphones are the best thing i have ever had, I can't believe these phones, how well they work for me, i have tried headphones from the
RNID And they do not compare on any level, so if you suffer loss of hearing like me then do not hesitate to try these.

I bought one of these for my wife (Christmas, 2013) and it was February 2014 before we got it working. That required extensive technical help and assistance from people who really do know what they are doing and in the end it just decided to work, when it felt like it, for no apparent reason that anyone could figure out.

We're not elderly, we're quite tech savvy and fortunately have access to many people who are more so; but how any elderly person living alone is supposed to deal with this product is beyond me.

Quite apart from the difficulty of setting it up it is temperamental and the sound quality is affected by a light background hiss. Any one who is hard of hearing would find this potentially difficult.

When it sits on the charger (on a flat granite surface) the headset is a razor-blade's width off the surface, which means that unless it is absolutely perfectly set the ear pieces touch the surface and lift it off the electrical contact points.

It sort of balances precariously on the charger and doesn't 'clip' into place. I think it's supposed to look cool but in design, form should follow function and this design is functionally flawed. Hopeless for elderly people.

The slightest touch - even the breeze of someone walking close by, or the dog's tail wagging several feet away - can move it. The electrical contact is then lost and unless you happen to notice that the (small, awkwardly placed) charging light has gone out you'll find there's no charge when you come to use it.

This is ridiculous for a product which will have in its target market elderly people whose sight and other senses are weak. It's almost as if there was zero in-field testing before the product was launched - how can they regard this as acceptable?
