Sarah Hyland (Modern Family) and Matt Prokop (High School Musical 3: Senior Year) team up in this comedy about makeovers that really matter. After “it” girl Dylan (Hyland) accidentally drops her expensive handbag into the mall fountain, she’s surprised when film geek Josh (Prokop) retrieves it for her. After Josh rescues her bag, Dylan jumps at the chance to be the subject of his new documentary. Dylan hopes the film will clinch her campaign for Blossom Queen—she claims that winning is her only life goal! Josh, meanwhile, plans to make a hard-hitting expose about popularity; but as he gets to know Dylan, he discovers that her real persona is more interesting than the faux facade she has created. At the last minute, Josh decides his film should introduce this awesome girl to the world, but how will Dylan react when she sees it? Also featuring 10 episodes of the hit series Shake It Up for over 5 hours of content!

Staring real life sweet hearts Sarah Hyland from the successful series 'Modern Family' and Disney's Matt Prokop we see a come together of high school stereotype groups of the Populars and Geeks. All starting off with Matt's character Josh wanting to film a hard hitting expose documentary for the film festival in which he asks Sarah's character; Dylan to be the star.
Wanting to show the true nature of popularity in it's ugly light, Josh hopes Dylan being the most popular girl in school can shine the light on what it takes to be popular and the secrets behind being the schools' no.1. But what starts off as an expose begins to blossom into a friendship which has nothing to do with popularity and everything to do with the kind of feelings they are beginning to feel for each other.
While Dylan is running for Blossom Queen, winning being the jewel in any popular girls crown, we like Josh begin to see the real reason she wants to win and it has nothing to do with popularity. Slowly the mask of popular Dylan falls away from all the clothes, make-up, handbags and her pose and what we see opens both Josh and Dylans eyes to who she really is.
The question is whether both of their eyes are opened up in time to save and pursue the friendship they have created or will Josh's documentary show Dylan to be the girl that everyone knows instead of the one we have come to know?
Disney strikes it out again with another Disney channel original movie which is current and full of heart and not one to be missed - for all the family!
Great movie for any Disney-film lover.
If you forget that Disney produced something like this then it would have been a movie for the cinemas, it's not your average kids movie, it shows how people act all big and mighty but in reality their like everyone else and the boy main character showed us that even two different people can fall in love!
Pick this up.
Even though it carries the Disney Original Movie moniker this is still a deeply enjoyable movie for adults and children a like i would recommend it to anyone you might even be surprised just how much you love this movie!
Also check out Modern Family because that show is amazing :)
