Gavin Jones is a writer and artist who lives in the borderlands of Lancashire and Yorkshire. He is a direct descendant of Charlemagne, of a carpenter in Salem during the witch trials, of a woman condemned to the workhouse, and of many other myths and legends.
He is the author of Ghosts and Other Tales, a collection of twenty five short stories, located in the Craven district of Northern England. In addition to this book, there are three sampler pamphlets of tales in the Ghosts and Other Tales series.
He also produced the book Under the Tree, which brings together his poetry and prose with illustrations by his late mother Audrey Jones. The profits of this book go to Pendleside Hospice.
Forthcoming are The Grassington Minotaur, a collection of poetry (scheduled release, February 2019) and The Craven Fault, a novel which returns to the themes of Ghosts and Other Tales (Autumn, 2019).
