Great book, highly recommend this. Grahame engages the reader straight away, chooses very interesting cases, and he tells the stories brilliantly. I have read three of his books like this and they are all well written
I chose this book for a love of both anything Victorian and murder mystery. The captivating way in which Grahame Farrell writes is both informative and exciting. The more I read, the more I became engrossed! The characters truly come alive and the delivery is stunning.
So far I am only halfway through the book, but I am finding it fascinating reading. One can get quite involved in the stories and feel very agrieved if a perpetrator gets away with it, which thankfully is not often. Each story is no more than a chapter but nevertheless contains all you need to know about who, what, why and how. I look forward to reading the rest.
A very good book which kept me up till the late hours, this book gives a wonderful (if that is the right thing to say )choice of tales which keep the reader interested as some are on the high seas and different tales as oppose to the repetitive books on sale today that cover the same storys but just put their edge to it.
My husband chose this book and thoroughly enjoyed reading it on holiday. He finds the Victorian times interesting so this was right up his street. Being several shorter stories, it was easy to read then leave it a while without forgetting where he was in the book.
