Product Description

Product Description

This aluminium telescopic handle is ideally suited for use with the multi-change Tree Care Without A Ladder tool heads. This handle can extend from 2.2 meters to 4 meters and allows you to reach awkward branches whilst keeping your feet firmly on the ground.

It is part of the multi-change range so it can be used with any of the 50 tool heads in the collection though the extra height that it affords means it is perfect for use with tree pruners, fruit catchers or even cleaning tool heads such as the window mop, for reaching conservatory windows etc.

Simply select the appropriate tool head and literally ‘click’ it onto the handle to lock it into place.

Attaching the head and handle takes seconds and when interlocked, you can be sure of a secure working tool that offers an unbeatable performance. Furthermore, it allows you to reach high branches or windows without using a ladder so ensuring safety at all times.

You can remove the tool head by pressing the red release button found on the upper part of the handle and swap it for any other tool head in the collection, allowing you to switch from picking fruit to pruning branches to cleaning windows- all the while using the same handle so saving storage space, effort and more importantly, keeping you safe.

Every product in the WOLF-Garten multi-change collection is manufactured in Germany to the highest of engineering standards. This quality assurance is reflected by the 10 year guarantee that covers every item in the range.

Have you ever been in the position where you wished you'd bought the one with the longer reach?
My advice is look at the job, estimate what you might need and then factor in what you might need next year.

This year you might only need a 3m extension, but what about in 12 months time, when you are standing under the tree and realise that extension pole you bought is TOO SHORT. End result you have to pay out more.

The pole is well balanced and not too heavy to hold for a while, though you might wish to wedge it against your belt to take the strain.
The pole itself is also solid and unbendable, not like the handles of those cheap brooms that kink and bend if you put too much pressure on them.

This will definitely not bend with heavy use and it comes with a 10 year warranty. It is a quality piece of kit.
Don't bother with the smaller ones you'll only be disappointed, longer is always better and that is a fact.

This handle, together with the wolf garten tree pruning saw, is the perfect tool for trimming the 6m trees in my garden from ground level. Extension of the pole and attachment of the multi-fit tools is a simple process with the solid 'click' system incorporated in to the design. It is lightweight but very strong and together with all the other attachments in the range, it represents excellent value for the keen gardener. In my case it has paid for itself in one use, versus the cost of a tree surgery service.

I had one of these for 30 years but foolishly kept it outdoors in my tree nursery, in the Northern Irish rain snow and frost. Its internal spring and clip mechanism eventually gave up so I had to buy this new one which is essential for some of the work I do. It is frequently used for high pruning without the need for ladders. The curved saw attachment can easily deal with side branches up to 12cms thick and more in some species. The fruit picker attachment is invaluable even if this is the only thing you ever use and you are lucky enough to have a small mixed orchard of tree fruits. As I am a tall person, I also find the handle perfect for claw cultivation of soil and raking. I use it to rake about 1/4 hectare every spring. I prefer this long handle to the shorter ones that are available. I can make this comparison because I have both the shorter types too but use them for other things, such as inter-row weeding, pond dipping, fish transfer, and attaching a butterfly net.

Lightweight pole but really only found it comfortable to use with lightweight attachments e.g. branch hook and certainly not with the anvil tree lopper which makes the pole top heavy. The pole could do with an shoulder strap or counter balance attachment to help take the weight when using the lopper and other heavy attachments. I also found that the locking mechanism when the pole is extended is not reliable and although everything clicked in place, under certain circumstances this came unlocked and the pole came apart.

I purchased this along with the attachments of the saw and the fruit picker and it is brilliant, the extension from 2.2m to 4m is plenty to get the fruit at the top of the tree. Although a little heavy at max length its performance outways this minor inconvenience.

This is definitely a very long telescopic extension, and it is not too heavy, but, having used it only once, I have problems with the locking in mechanism: there are holes in the metal that should lock in as you slide the pole up and down to adjust the length. They don't seem to be working very well. Maybe I am not working it properly? If anyone has any ideas, I'd be grateful.

Used a Wolf Garten fruit picker with this Wolf Garten 4 metre multi-purpose telescopic handle. The pear and apple trees in our garden are quite tall. We could not reach the fruit at all and using a ladder would have been dangerous. This robust instrument did its job satsfactorily.Bit expensive. Not yet sure if we will be using this handle for any other purpose. But for fruit picking, recommended.
