Growbag pots have proved themselves to get the results. Gardeners everywhere are now using them with their growbags to grow very strong healthy plants and bumper crops of tomatoes, and not just tomatoes, for many other varieties of plants - aubergines and chillies for example - reap rich rewards when grown in a growbag pot. An ingenious yet simple design, the growbag pot has a serrated base that cuts neatly into the bag of compost, with three pots fitting the standard bag comfortably. The pots have an outer trough that holds four pints of water or feed which then gradually seeps into the compost taking a constant supply directly to the plant root where it is needed most. The plant is planted in the inner pot, which is then filled up with extra compost to encourage more vigorous and healthy root growth and subsequent higher yields. The result is no wastage of water or feed, no messy spilling compost, no sagging growbag û just easy, precise watering and liquid feeding of the plants. Made from strong plastic and they prevent slugs from reaching the plants. They can be used season after season, simply wash them and store them until they are needed again. They come with easy to follow instructions.. Made in the UK

Easy watering

These make the grow bags very easy to water and allow the water to gradually seep into the compost and reduce the risk of blossom end rot (often caused by wet/dry cycling or over watering). One fill of the reservoir per day (~2-2.5L) for each plant has been sufficient even during the dry hot spell. The water gets right into the compost and to the roots rather than running down the side of the growbag so it's a very controlled system, only need to water the centre of the pot for the first week or two until the plants become established. Be sure to pick the lower leaves off and plant the tomato plants good and deep as more roots will grow from the stem to help with the uptake of nutrients.

Quality of this product is very good, certainly easy to install.
My only complaint is that you need the very very largest grow bag you can get,
Looking at the photograph makes it look as if there is lots of room between each pot.
Very deceptive, I used 3 of these pots on my grow bag and "just" had enough room, they were in actual
fact touching each other , not as in the photograph.

These items improve a growbag no end. Gives more space for plant to grow and makes watering easier. Serrated edge helps to trace out circumference of base on the bag so makes cutting bag to fit these very accurate. I use a couple of these in a small growbag and 3 in the larger sizes. Looking forward to a bumper crop of tomatoes. Yes they do add to the cost of your produce in the first year but once you've got them you can use year after year. The only possible issue I can see is deterioration due to UV - we'll see if that happens. The appear sturdy and are a good size. If I was going to design a pot for a growbag I would come up with this.

Arrived before due date. Well packed, undamaged. Have had these type of pots from a previous supplier, some 5/6 years ago, and if these last as long will be very satisfied. Eventually they do weaken because of prolonged exposure to sunlight, which is only natural seeing as they are being used in a greenhouse. Have found that with a timed watering system they eliminate a lot of work and save time. A very good product.

Fast delivery considering the current situation. I only ordered 6 as i will be moving and wont need as many. They work brilliantly, i installed only on a couple tomatoes and one cucumber and i will be able to see the difference. Be careful with the bottoms as they are sharp, they cut into the ground or a flat bag easily. I have tried the plastic bottle trick but never seemed to work properly last year so thought id give these a go this year.

Highly recommend as it stops water splashing up at the leaves. Happy gardening

Super growpots for greenhouse grown tomato plants

I bought six of these for my greenhouse grown tomato plants. They are a super quality plastic and the serrated edges are very sharp for cutting through compost bags. The depth of the growpots are really useful for the additional height needed for potting up. Also, just to mention that these are extremely sturdy and not made of a thin flimsy plastic, so I believe they will last for several years if not longer. I'm extremely pleased with my purchase and would recommend them for this purpose.

After reading reviews on other similar products, I chose this one, because the bottom edge was serrated and the drainage holes were punched through (not like some which are elongated and get plugged up with soil) and I am extremely happy with the product received. They fit perfectly on my 10L tubs, which my tomatoes will be moved into this week. From ordering to despatch the service has been superb. Shipping was super fast too and the item was received earlier than expected. I was happy to wait the full approximate shipping timescales as I am fully aware that there are slight delays all over the UK with shipping due to many staff self isolating as a result of Covid 19 and the huge increase in number of parcels being shipped daily. These cut straight through the grow bags, fast and simple. Either by straight down pressure on the top, or twist action, this was the best way as acts like a quick swa

Then you are able to plan within and over time add more soil to increase roots and overall growth.

The pots all have plenty of holes to allow drip feeding, you could even add a clip to attach but watering is great as no splashing on the plants and you can fill up to allow a couple of days to soak in
