As a parent there is no greater love then between your child and yourself and there is nothing that you wouldn't do to help, protect, keep them safe and to love unconditionally. To find out that despite everything you cannot provide something they need is nothing more then heartbreaking!

To lose someone that chooses to leave is the worse feeling in the world and to live every day in the hope they'll come back is an excruciating pain that nothing can relieve until you hear the key in the door, the telephone call you're awaiting for...

This books describes all the emotions that you hope never to have to feel, but also never ever give up hope!!

Awesome read as expected! Can't wait for the next book!!

The Game was sent to my phone Kindle as promised. I read it on our way home from our nephew's wedding in Cheshire totally ignoring my poor hubby - bless. I was totally gripped by the entire story. I felt a wee bit sorry for the mum right from the onset. I can't imagine the pain of not knowing where my child is. I didn't know what i expected when i was turning the `pages' but it wasn't what i got. Fab Amanda. Loved it. keep `em coming xxx ;D

Yet again Amanda has written a thought provoking story. I didn't like the mother much but I've known someone with a mother just like her so I understand her behaviour. But a great story about the love of family and what happens when it's all disrupted.

The characters are well-drawn and believable, as is the plot. One feels sympathy for the parents and yet can also see why their daughter did what she did. The pace is good and one wants to read on to find out what eventually happens to the family.

Downloaded this book to take on hioliday but finished it before I got to the airport! Thought the mum and dad were trying so hard to be the best they could but being a parent is soooo hard to get right! Loved the early hours of the morning bit where they convinced themselves she would be at a friends. Great read and just the ending I wanted! Well done again Mrs Prowse.

I have yet to come across a book by Amanda Prowse, that I can put down. Her writting is amazing, comes across realistic, and with feeling. She makes no judgement on the people she is writing about! I am desperately waiting for more of her books to come out. I think everyone should read all of her books. They remind us that others have problems too, some of which we have been through, and some I hope none of us have to go through, though no doubt many have been.

I love Amanda Prowse books but have to say that this short story left me feeling somewhat underwhelmed!! The characters didn't really develop enough for me and I was shocked when it ended so quickly!! Half of the book is made up of excerpts from other books... I'll be sticking to the full books in future!!

I had read Amanda Prowse 'what have I done' and this short story was just as good. She is such an easy writer to read it was just a shame it was a short story not a longer book but enjoyed it immensely.
