Book Description

The autobiography of one of the most gifted Irish footballers of a generation

From the Back Cover

Oisín McConville was born in 1975 and made his senior football debut for Armagh in 1994, the team for which he still plays. In 2006, he became the top Ulster scorer in the history of the GAA, overtaking Paddy Doherty and Peter Canavan. He plays club football with Crossmaglen Rangers, with whom he has won the All-Ireland Club title four times, in 1997, 1999, 2000 and 2007.

Ewan MacKenna is a sports writer with the Sunday Tribune. A native of Athy, Co Kildare, he joined the newspaper in 2004 and since then has covered Gaelic games, boxing, soccer, cricket and athletics. He started his journalism career with the Kildare Nationalist and also spent time working for the Labour Party before winning the Peter Ball Memorial Sports Writing Award and moving to his current post.

I was really looking forward reading this book and it is indeed a very honest account of his career and gambling problems. However in my opinion it is not a very well written book and I couldn't get into it.
