4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Presence 21 Dec. 2010
By The37th - Published on Amazon.com
This toy is just Fantastic! Everything about it is just to much to handle. It is super heavy. It is loaded with Diecast metal, and some plastic parts. I really liked the fact that the antenna are rubber so you don't have to worry bout breaking them. The reason I gave this toy a 3 stars for durability is because the paint chips off if you transform it too rough and the joints of the legs are really loose after a couple of transformations. But other than that the toy is just great. I would recomend it to anyone who likes Gundam or even IdeOn the anime. The toy really does the character justice. It was a great buy and well worth the price.
4.0 out of 5 stars Best Ideon ever, but still has some major flaws 5 July 2016
By RoboGriffey - Published on Amazon.com
This should be one of the best SOC's ever. And in many ways it is. But it loses a flaw from some long term QC issues.

This is to date the largest and heaviest of the Soul of Chogokins. It has so much metal that you need to be careful where you place it. It weighs 3lbs+. Most of that in the legs.

The paint and sculpt are amazing. Ideon's Fire Engine Red with White striping really stand out and draws the eye. The figure has a deep presence. The 3 individual vehicles that comprise the robot, are what they are. They are great executions of the on screen designs... which were never anything grand to begin with. Giant trucks in space was always a little weird.

Each vehicle is a "triple changer". They each have a land mode, a flying space mode and a robot component mode. They have a good amount of die cast, real rubber tires and treads and a perfect anime accuracy.

Combined they form a towering 12" robot. The tallest SOC that I own. About the same height as the Miracle Metals Vehicle Voltron. Most of the weight is in the legs. But be warned he is not the most stable of robots. His legs are a little wobbly without great articulation. If not carefully positioned he can be a fall risk.

His greatest flaw is in his shoulder joints. Two of the joints use a too large metal screw going through a too small plastic part. This results in cracks at the joint. This is largely unavoidable. Expect any figure at this point to have these cracks. This will limit the robots ability to hold its arms outward from the body.

Overall this is the best Ideon ever made, and will be a showstopper in your collection. Just handle it with care. It is not a toy that will survive much play.
