HASH(0x8fb549fc) out of 5 stars I heartily recommend this book 29 Sept. 2012
By Gerard Edwards - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This book was truly a godsend. It simplified an issue we had been struggling with for a long time. It tells you how to actually do simple mapping instead of vaguely telling you about the zillion options out there and leaving you to figure out the mess.

We have started mapping the water points in our department and producing custom maps to our problems unlike more closed solutions like waterpointmapper. The section on the use of GPS was really great, it tells you all the things the GPS manual will not. We discovered some errors we were doing. The map creating section is a breeze, seven straight-to-the-point exercises that lead you with a very useful result.
HASH(0x9420e108) out of 5 stars Needs better illustrations 16 April 2015
By Peter M. Ravdin - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
An entertaining read. I too would have liked a little more science. Also I thought that the illustrations in the book did not do justice to the subject matter.
