This is a very poorly written book.
I start with this as it's important for me to get across that your enjoyment of the world presented (what little you will be able to gain) will be marred by the terrible writing.
The ideas have been heard before (it comes across as a mix of The Hunger Games with 1984) and the breathy excitement with which the author describes a monorail (several pages on my kindle) leads me suspect he must be an engineer by background as it's evident that he can't be a writer.
If I am honest I am only half way through the book at this point - I plan to finish it and will update or remove this review if it turns out that the weak, tired setup turns into something more. But I doubt it.
I understand that there is a Christian message to this book - let me say that I have not been raised in a faith, but I retain a healthy respect for it. Even without the faith this would still be pulp.
Don't buy this book.
