Bought this as my first ever GPU to finish my custom gaming PC. It came well packaged by both amazon and the product box itself (to be expected with such an item). I was originally looking at buying a GTX 980 but just as I was about to buy it Nvidea announced that they were making the 9XX series legacy cards and no longer releasing updates for them. Although they are still perfectly respectable cards I wanted something a little more future proof.

My first impressions were good. The card feels well built and solid, the plastic shroud feels a little flimsy if you put any pressure on it but as you shouldn't be doing that with this product I don't see it being an issue. The card itself is only slightly longer than my ASUS Z170-A Motherboard (Full sized ATX) so I had no problems with its length in my case. This card also comes with a backplate installed helping to protect the card and prevents any major GPU sag.

As this was my first GPU I found the installation of the software very easy and simple. Gigabytes software provided a nice way of monitoring the GPU and to try my hand at overclocking (I managed to get this card to 2025mHz without any issues, I haven't tried to push it past this and I don't know how good this is in comparison to others). The LED control was also a nice feature and I did not have to restart my PC for the changes to take effect as others have reported although i'm sure this is due to the software updates themselves.

The three fans will only spin up when the card reaches a certain temperature and this is set using the Gigabyte software. This makes it a silent card when not under load and even when the fans are at full speed you can't hear them over any audio from the game you are playing.

I just got and I am really happy with it, much better than I expected for this price. I maxed out killing floor 2 and holds 60fps at 1080p.
I'm using a I5-7500 cpu and this card seems to match the performance of a RX470 which I was using before.
The RBG lighting is a nice touch if you have a window on your case and the fans only spin when it gets to 60c.
This card is so quiet.
The backplate is solid and looks nice.
If you game in 1080p no need to waste your money on a GTX 1060 like I almost did.
Nice one Gigabyte!

Brilliant card, great for 1080p gaming.
runs Overwatch on Epic with 100% render at 90+ fps
Warcraft on max ultra @ 70+fps
Elder scrolls online max settings @ ~65fps
Compared to my old GTX 550 Ti this is a new ballpark, any more Imo is overkill for the games I play.

The RGB logo and fan stop are perfect for my rgb build that's currently demonstrated in blue in my photo.

Really happy with the benchmarks in Unigine.

I upgraded from a gtx 960 to the 1060, I knew there would be a big performance difference but I didn't realise how big. It's roughly 80% (100% in some cases) faster than the 960 and the best bang for your buck video card out there! It performs very similarly to the 980ti, which until a few months ago was being sold for £400.

I would definitely recommend this card to anyone.

10/10 would eat again. Much graphics. Very gaming. It's like Skyrim but with graphics cards.

Jokes aside, it's a great graphics card for the price. I can run games such as Total War: Warhammer, Fallout 4 and probably Skyrim Special Edition on max settings.

Currently using it to run a dual monitor setup and play games, overall really good. No faults so far.

The card performs flawlessly, very happy with this aspect. Problem is the noise under load. Fans are pretty loud, and after a few months mine developed a particularly distracting coil whine, louder than my case fans and even heard over my speakers in some games. Ended up returning it as the rest of my pc is very quiet. Was a good price when I bought it so if you're not bothered by noise it's a great card. If you're looking for a quiet build though this is not the one.

I have no qualms regarding the card. Works fantastically. Clock speeds are frequently over 1940 Mhz and the fans don't even run until you put some serious stress on the card. No coil whine for me.

Only reason I'm giving this a 4* is because I was supposed to receive a Destiny 2 code with this that was part of a promotion at the time of purchase. Haven't received it yet and will change if I get it. Otherwise it was just fake marketing.
