About the Author

Saul writes in several speculative fiction genres, including horror, cyberpunk, biopunk, and straight science fiction. A former Army medic and trauma specialist, he earned a PhD in molecular biology and genetics; his works are heavily informed by these past experiences. Saul spent his formative years in a century-old house overlooking the Erie Canal in Upstate New York. He shared an attic room with all manner of creatures, not all, he is convinced, flesh and blood. After several years spent overseas and working his way to executive positions in biotech, he returned to his true passion of storytelling. He now writes full time from his home in the San Francisco Bay Area. He continues to be haunted by a variety of creatures, including a wife, kids, three dogs, three cats, twenty chickens, a wayward rooster, and one very grumpy possum. They are all flesh and blood. Except for the possum, which he's sure is the reincarnated spirit of Jack Torrance. No spoilers so read on;
An interesting style of delivery with the books originally published every few months in a series, like you'd watch a tv show. Good character development and scenery description. Very quickly has you liking - or not - people with a good range of personalities - imagine The Big Bang Theory / Friends meets Romero lol
I downloaded the first two 'episodes' for free as a sampler and as soon as I had finished these went straight back for the rest, very kindly packaged in an end of series 8 episode bundle; yeah you're buying the first two again but for the price it's a no brainer ( very weak Z'd funny )

A whole new take on the zapocalypse.

It took me a couple of chapters to get into this storyline, but after I got into it I got hooked.

Some constructive criticism however - proof reading, there is a lot of typo's throughout that need addressing. Also there are too many things that it is just assumed the reader will know and understand. There needs to be a bit more description to help get the reader to understand what's happening before the writer starts rattling off abbreviations and further story lines.

But on the whole, a really good and interesting read, I look forward to the next installment

Recommended by Shawn Chesser no less (another superb Zompoc author to read), purchased on a whim and loved it. Set in the future where zombies are used by the state as workers, the story gives a new, refreshing approach and twist to this genre. Kept me riveted through both episodes 1 & 2. Off now to get all of the remaking episodes to find out what happens next and get some questions answered!

SAAAAAUL I LOVE YOU. absolutely fantastic! Amazing series, I've read the entire first lot and I'm in love. Can't wait to buy the next lot. It's such a must have for zombie lovers. Set in the future with hints towards our daily life now with lots of new gadgets and ways. Action packed with different kinds of zombies. Brilliant. I love it!

If you love post-apocalyptic fiction, you really must try this series. The teenage characters are believable and well-differentiated, and you quickly come to empathise with the first-person narrator, Jessie. The descriptions are vivid and the pace is fantastic. I found myself doing that magical thing of reading faster in the hope that I could help them escape the jeopardy at the climax of part one, a cliffhanger which filled me with dread - and a need to start episode 2, instead of going to sleep!
