I decided to get a G7th classical capo based on the excellent experience I had with one of their acoustic models. However, I was somewhat disappointed with the performance of the classical version. It simply doesn't have enough grip on the strings. Most comments are very positive and assuming people who wrote them play 'normal' classical guitars, I am rather surprised how the capo doesn't do as well on my guitar. I have gone back to using an old Dunlop which I have had for ages although not used very often in the past. Now that I have a greater need for a capo I think I'll just stick to this and save myself a bit of money. I didn't want to give the product any less than three stars because G7 capos are actually very well made and are nice and compact. Perhaps the designers of the product could take this onboard and improve the classical model.

Simply impossible to get better, this high quality, immaculately designed, and beautifully engineered guitar playing aid, is the Rolls Royce of all Capo's, and the one that sets the standards by which all others can be judged. Easy to attach and causes only minimal interference to the fingers. Don't allow it's description as "G7th Classical Guitar Capo" to restrict it's use to one genre of music - this capo will assist with and compliment the playing of any style of music from Puccini to Punk.

Yes, it is at the high-end of the price scale for capo's but you only get what you pay for, and in this instance it's the best!

This capo is rubberised where it makes contact with the guitar - I use it on all my guitars and it has not damaged the neck at all on any of them. Sometime the capo needs a little extra squeeze to tighten it up enough to stop string buzz, but this can still be achieved using just one hand. The release trigger could be a little smoother in action but it does the job.

Summary: A little expensive, but ticks all the right boxes. Would give 4.5 if I could as it could be made slightly better.

When you open the box, this capo looks fantastic. Unfortunately it doesn't work. It won't fit the neck of my guitar (which isn't an unusual shape or size) and it is impossible to obtain sufficient pressure to avoid buzzing strings at any point along the fretboard. A complete waste of money.

As a new player to Flamenco guitar I was having difficulty wedging my fingers in close to the Capo (Some flamenco chords are weird) but with this wondrous little tool I find it now so easy!
It is very well made and very sleek - doesn't get in the way at all, and fitting is very quick and accurate with no buzz or flat spots on my classical guitar. It looks sleek and pretty when fitted too.
Would recommend this to anyone - I will be buing another for my classical hybrid as well. Very happy with this purchase - may be a little expensive but hey! well worth it!

I am very pleased with my G7th classical capo. It is so easy to use and unlike my previous cheap elasticated capo, does not throw the strings out of tune when I raise it up the fingerboard. It also looks very stylish and sleek!

An impressive design and luxurious feel. A joy to use. Works perfectly and is very easy to put on or take off one handed. I also have the shorter, slightly bowed version for steel string and electric guitar.

There are not many products that impress me these days but I have to admit that this one that did. Elegant, lightweight and extremely easy to use this Capo holds all the strings with ease. A pleasure to use and a product I would not hesitate to recommend.
