I bought this ram back in April of 2013 at a cracking price with basically a whole new PC build!
It performed flawlessly in my system until around November of 2013 when I started to get the odd BSOD. I honestly thought it wad my SDD drive though, as this was a new addition to my system?
I did a couple of tests on my system but never suspected it would be the RAM. I have never had problems with RAM. Much to my surprise, RAM testing software tested one stick as faulty. I was a bit surprised to be honest because I have never OC'd (Over Clocked) my system which can damage RAM due to the extra volts. It just seemed to develop a fault over time I guess?
I sent the back using G-Skill's RMA service which meant I had to send them to Holland for testing. It cost around £15 to send them back and about two weeks wait. They sent a new pair, no questions asked but I was still not happy about the cost incurred and the headache I had with my system!
Still, these things happen..
The new pair of sticks tested okay as soon as I installed them and have been fine so far (fingers crossed).
If one day you do start getting random BSOD, just remember that you read this and run a quick "MemTest", just to be sure..
